Oh, Gilly, you just have to do this!!! You have an absolutely beautiful voice and a bubbly personality, how can you not win? If I had a voice like yours, you better believe I'd give it a shot! And, hey, if I lived closer to you I'd come along just for the moral support, but I can fly to Hawaii for less than the price of a ticket to TO!

Well, it is what.. about a 5 hour drive from cochrane to sudbury I think? Auditions are goign to be at the holiday Inn... rooms are pretty cheap there.. it is still early, see if YOU can get a room there, is what I would advise:) if, NOT, and you would ever recognize me, I could always save you a place;) I am nice:) (a little scary... Because, my husband booked a room, so we didn't have to wake up early and drive down to get there before 8, I will be in line as close to the beginning as possible.

Again, I PLAN on going, am, am REALLY not THAT scary:) If you are goign to be all alone, I am not THAT bad for company;) Lol.

I am saving up money like crazy to go . I am working all this week non stop so i can get there. hopefully i will!

Gilly I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, usually these kind of contests have more involved then just singing. I'm sure you have already gotten the rules and have looked over what you will be judged on. If you can get a chance to sing infront of as many people and as many venues as possible that always helps as far as nerves.
You're young, you have an amazing voice and you have an amazing look as well, you also seem like the type who is not afraid of putting on a little show to boot. I think you have as good a chance as anyone and probably more than most, hey maybe I can get to be a judge there, I would pick you for sure. And just think you will get to sing on something besides that crap Mac Mic.

Gilly, you will make it no prob. And even if i don't make it there, i am still going through with the singing bit. I have 5 gigs this week, and i keep getting requested to do more....so maybe someone will notice me and i will become a star that way...either way i will keep singing for ever . Would be nice to make a little more cash off of it then i do now though.

I am new here and my curiosity has gotten the best of me. I sure would like to hear this voice I have been reading about, but so far, no luck.
What happened to your subs? It may just be that I am stupid and can't find them. Can you help?

Maybe a new sub might be good practice for your upcoming contest.

I, too, think you've definitely got the talent for it. If you want to be selected, think hard beforehand about what you want to sing, and practice it a lot. I noticed on American Idol (which I just started watching) that they're not only looking for talent, or even a look, they're looking for a certain style. If you do something really different from what they're looking for, they won't take you even if you're really good at it.

Good luck. If they don't take you, it won't be because you can't sing.

Although< i do believe that CI is a bit different than AI, we seem to get very dififerent people that the american version does. I only watched the first season however, but, for any canadians that know what I mean, I can't imagine the newfie chick, jenny gear, making it in the american version. Lol, I don't think i STAND a chance in heck. I just want to try soemthing different. I am stuck in a stay at home mommy rut:)
