what is the best way of converting mp3+g to mpeg4 , I've a large collection of mp3+g's and have been looking at buying a divx dvd player and converting my collection to divx ..is it worth doing , how hard is it and is there any software to do a batch conversions straight from mp3+g's .
Or should I just buy the AWF dvd player that plays mp3+g

Thanks for any help

yep, buy the player!

Or go computer.

You could also just get mp3toolz and convert the .mp3gs to .bin, and burn your tracks, assuming that they are bought and paid for.

It's not too hard, and the software you'll need is free. I'm in the same position as you- I have a bunch of CDG's (the actual discs) and want to convert them to DivX format so I can compile a bunch of my discs onto a single DVD. If you already have .cdg and .mp3 files you're one step ahead of the game already since you don't have to rip anything.

Use powerkaraoke CDG to AVI converter- the program is free and pretty simple to use, and if you pay $19 to register it, you can do batch conversions of entire directories or even several directories at once. I actually just registered my copy yesterday and so far am happy with the results.

Of course, you will need the DivX codec installed, but you can get that at the DivX website. Also, you will probably need an mp3 codec installed. For some reason I can't get Lame MP3 to work with the converter, but I have another codec installed that works fine...not sure where I got it though. It might be the Fraunhoefer (sp?) one.

If you have any other questions let me know.
