Hey everyone....got around to digitizing some video from my show today, and a couple of peeps asked me to post it. It's not that great in my opinion, but the crowd loved it so thats all that matters to me. The clips stream off my site. Here's the link
http://godsmovie.com/musical/jandh.wmv
This clip is the end of "This is the moment" and the full song "Confrontation." Damn, my white shirt made me look soooo fat, not that I'm a skinny guy by any means...husky is a good word, but anyway. Enjoy the show!
Jason

awwww, thanx for watching Jazyy. I actually did about an hour, but that last bit was the most exciting. There wasn't a lot of room to move around in there, so I spent a lot of time just standing and singing...which is what they wanted anyway.

You are extremely talented Jason. I was amazed by some of your performances in here. This was another great performance.
I have a few questions regarding microphone setup and placement during such a powerful style of vocal music.

For that style of music (depending on room size), to prevent the normal distorting that takes place when a microphone is too close to the performers mouth, could you go with a few Shure SM-58's set up in the vacinity of stage front ? I've noticed a common phenom. regarding many headset microphones to turn an 'S" into a lispy sound during high input. Is there a way to prevent popping, and lisping caused by the "microphone too close" regarding a headset microphone ? I'm not sure how the around the neck microphone setups would work regarding opera, or high output performances.
One microphone I stopped using because of this was the audio tech PRO8HE headset microphone. It's a pretty cheap headset microphone, yet I suspected other microphones of the headset type would also share the same problem. When I'm accompanying vocalists here. It seems the mic'ing of the high output vocalist is VERY difficult without placing a standard microphone a distance away from the persons mouth, yet in doing so, the intricacies of the softer dynamics don't get picked up.
