For years I couldnt get all the way thru Hello Darling without tearing up sometimes walking off the stage,, I found another song that first time I did it I found myself weeping again and didnt expect it Wasnt drunk either... It is Jones, George - You Comb Her Hair......Funny how a song can bring so much emotion... Another I will never ever do is Cash, Johnny - Give My Love To Rose

Dont mean to be a tear jerker tonight but in a funny mood anybody else?

Letters From Home - John Michael Montgomery

and there's a new country song out called "How Do You Get That Lonely" about a young teenage boy who decides his life isn't worth living so he commits suicide.... How do you get that lonely.... Tugs at the heart!

Oh man... i'm the biggest, sappiest, wussiest, most emotional woman on this planet ... I've got quite a few that reduce me to tears from different genres...
Who Wants To Live Forever - Queen - I canNOT listen to this without falling apart.. the movie is probably a big reason
  Just Once - James Ingram
  Oh No - The Commodores
Time (flowing like a river) - Alan Parsons project
Couple of opera arias that get me are "Un Bel Di" and "Nessun Dorma" those soaring lines get me
  Concrete Angel - Martina Mcbride....
Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most - one of my fav jazz ballads
The Winner Takes it All - ABBA
After the Love is Gone - Earth Wind and Fire - I just gotta hear the opening and I start to tear
Dust in the Wind - Kansas - "don't hang on.. nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky" ... such a simple tune, but it breaks me up
Christmastime is Here - Vince Guareldi Trio - OMG this one gets me.. it's so melencholy and beautiful
One Little Christmas Tree - Stevie Wonder - the words are beautiful
How Do You Keep the Music Playing - James Ingram and Patti Austin - another one where I just have to hear the piano intro and i'm gone

  Always Tomorrow - Gloria Estefan
  Why - Annie Lennox
  Silent Lucidity - Queensryche
some theme music from Last of the Mohicans, Edward Scissorhands, and ET to name a few
some of Sandi Patti's gospel stuff really gets me.. first one that springs to mind is "Upon This Rock" .. oh man, it's good
How Can I Fall - Breathe
You Must Love Me - from Evita - that cello does it i think
Music of the NIght - Michael Crawford - what a piece of music that is
When You Wish Upon a Star - yeah, even this one gets me
and if you thought that was pathetic, I even get teary eyed when the muppets sing "saying goodbye" in the movie the muppets take manhatten, and when they sing earthworm with danny kaye from a classic muppet show.

good grief I could go on all night, but thinking of these songs is really bringing me down, so I'll give it a rest .... for now

Two songs have given me problems in the past:

Some Gave All - Billy Ray Cyrus

This has become increasingly difficult to sing with the protracted events in Iraq. It never ceases to amaze me the people that come up and ask me who sings it, if it's new, etc. etc. etc. and the shock that it's more than a decade old.

The Space Between - Dave Matthews Band

My son and I went through some really hard times, but we were able to walk out of here so to speak.

There are others, just can't think of them right now. I know that when I hear Leader of the Band by Dan Fogelberg I think of my father and get misty. Also when I hear LeAnn Womack's I Hope You Dance I can think of nothing but my children and get teary. However you won't find me singing Fogelberg and you sure won't catch me murdering Womack!

Dance With My Father ~~ Luther Vandross
Wind Beneath My Wings ~~ (Only when sung by The Divine Miss M, herself)
Fly ~~ Celine Dion (never gotten thru a listen without crying)
How Do You Mend A Broken Heart ~~ Bee Gee's (If Im in a certain mood)
And Lately .... Imagine ~~ John Lennon (Probably because of the state of our world )
Observation: As I read through all of your entries... I noticed an abundance of songs from the "country" genre. Any ideas why?
BTW Sheree... I agree... Honey ~~ Bobby Goldsboro used to make me WEEP .....
