so bear with me; but it has occurred to me that this new critiqueing air to the SS is really a good thing. There's definite boundaries and structure provided by the "C" choice on the sub. And what it really means is that now people who want to can get constructive, kind, real help on their singing and subs. I really hope/think that with solid tact, people can hear what they need to improve on. I'm prolly gonna eat my words later but this is what I'm feeling now. Sorry if you guys have already discussed this.
And I really think Syberchickie had a hand in at least part of this somehow, not to mention Matt, Tigrr, and Crystal.

amazing what giving OPTIONS to people is able to create... there are combinations that fit 99% of everyone's needs and the fine tuning and tweaking from here on out will just be mostly cosmetic or small adjustments... I would love to take credit for it but I know that would just start another war... shoot the message because of the messenger type deal ... big hats off to Phill and the rest of the moderators/programmers for seriously weighing the suggestions for their merit and common sense instead of who they were from... I am sure we all drove them crazy there for a few weeks while they worked out the programming without destroying the whole site altogether ... good job guys... I am glad to see some of the people who left or stopped subbing return and enjoy the site once again... - tig

Yep, this place is becoming all things for all people...
Those who want the critiques get the critiques...
Those that don't, don't...
And theres even the option for those who don't want ANY kind of comments at all...
I think you've covered just about everyone on the site!
As Tig said... GREAT job there Phill and Co

yeah Atomic, I can't stress enough how impressed I am with the site moderators as a whole, who are honestly willing to take input and suggestions and improve their site with those ideas... they haven't just given lip-sync service to it's members but actually listen and take action on comments from it's membership rolls... I can't think of many sites with this many members who actually practice what they preach... awesome job guys and gals!!! - tig

Yup... I think the critque option is okay... but the key words are KIND and TACT. I've still seen some that are a bit "scathing"... but overall... it does seem that people are giving "opinions" in a pretty nice way. Just keep in mind though...NONE of us ... are true "experts". We offer opinions and suggestions. I think if everyone keeps in mind that they are GETTING and GIVING "Opinions".... not a professional "critique"... it'll stay a really nice option.
Or....am I mistaken, & is someone amongst us a "true vocal performance instructor"?

It is really early for me - I couldn't sleep... (ears must have been burning)
I see the nice things that you are saying and I really appreciate it. However, I truly believe that it the membership here that has provided me with all the great input in order to develope a site that you enjoy.
If ever you have suggestions that you think can help improve the site even more - please feel free to let me know. I can't promise that they will be implemented but I will see what I can do.
I did see someone in another topic had asked about adding a chat-room. I am looking into that. I know it can be done. It is just will it actually add to the the site or detract? Plus how much effort will it be. If I do add it - It would only be a (type) chatroom, not a voice/talk one. Those are really difficult to operate and bandwidth hungry.
Anyway, just wanted to pop in here and say thanks to all of you. I hope you keep the ideas coming.

my gawd phill go to bed! only insomniacs with ADHD and an extreme realistic fear of dropping dead in their sleep, like me, should be up this time of night... on another note- I think a chatroom would be fine but there would be issues of monitoring the language/topics on a real time level so as to keep punks and troublemakers from misusing the chance to say something naughty to someone without someone's finger on a censorship button ready to zap it immediately... it cna get pretty ugly in the Yahoo public chatrooms as well as the AOL chatrooms... just wanting to avoid that type of environment for this site... I know chatroom filters can be included to remedy that possibility but still it is something to think about ... - tig

Members only allowed.... this way if that "stuff" occurs....they can either be banned from live chat... or the power's that be can decide if their membership should be revoked. As for language.. RULES... like here on the threads. I think just about everyone is very respectful of those rules. I think Live chat... if not too much work... could be fun!

I agree totally but forseeing the potential problem is better than having it rear up it's ugly head and ruining for many... I think members only would cut the chances down immensely as the majority of members already play by those rules and for those who can't resist the naughty chat in the public chatroom we will keep a pot of wet noodles handy at all times to beat them with - tig

@ the toothpicks!! Argh!!
Yeah, a 'chatroom' would be cool... (God forbid, something else to eat up all my time!! ) and of course another hearty 'WELL DONE' to Phill for the site management and restructuring.
I have DEFINITELY appreciated all of the helpful feedback I've gotten from this site, and I think (i hope) that I've been able to learn and improve myself (noticeably) with each sub. It makes me feel good that I can be a part of helping others the same way. =D

umm... just a thought..... Can u really "DROP" dead in your sleep.... I mean... wouldn't you allready be laying down? I see no possible way of "DROPPING" dead in your sleep unless of course you're sleepwalking, or propped up against a wall.... but I would go out on a limb and say that most ppl (assuming you too, Tig) would sleep laying DOWN.... Therefore... DROPPING dead? ummm..... not possible..
OHH! UNLESS!!! your bed broke at the exact same time that you croaked.... or someone pulled that mattress out from under you... THEN I suppose that could be DROPPING dead in your sleep..... hmmm how perplexing....
!
ya know.... I could be wrong....... but.... umm... I think I may be a little bit nuts.....
anyone?

It's genetics guys... nothing you can do about it, and he's seen plenty of doctors.
His heart is physically in a different section than the majority of the humans on the planet. and as such, he's had complications. It's more centered than most people's are.
The reason he's never said anything about it, is, well, how would you like to suddenly get lots of attention about something you can't do a darned thing about? He's already lived longer than most doctors would care to have quoted. But Tig's a warrior through and through. And as such, he'll make the earth shatter a bit when his time on this place is done.
I personally think he was put on this earth to create children. His four kids are just absolutely adorable!
