Hello everybody, greetings from Aberdeen Scotland.
I'm new to the whole Karaoke scene and just found your site which is very informative I have been gifted a JVC xlsv22bk player. Hooked it up to my home stereo and got going - wasn't too impressed with the sound generated. I would like some advice as to what is required to generate a bit more sound and also to play around with the singers vocals, as some of my friends appear to be tone deaf ;-)

I have looked at the previous posts but am even more confused!!! I would like to use my home stereo speakers if possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jim

Get a small mixer with built in digital effects.

Thanks, that what I thought might be required - any recommendations? Just for home use only,

Jim

Behringer Eurorack Mx 802A if you can find one (eBay). It's a GREAT board. The smaller Behringer Eurorack Mx 802 is prefect for home use. Neither offer effects, but will give you a lot more control on the audio and vocal.

The Behringer UB1204FX Pro is similar to 802A as far as inputs/outputs. However the boards uses sliders instead of knobs for the master volumes and has a pretty good built in 24-bit F/X processor.

A used 802A can be had on eBay for $30 to $50 - if you can find a new one out there under $75.

A new 802 is under $50.

A new UB1204FX is under $150.
