Hey Missy,

Hope you find an answer cuz I've had the same problem in the past too. My resub of Here 4 the Party is one of them. It's not that loud and/or distorted when I just play my file on my PC but it got uploaded and I went back to listen to it and almost fell off my chair (not laughing fall off either).

Hi Missy GG...I was just telling Allstar about this the other day...I think they are between 1-2 db louder after posting...I have always thought that, so before posting I run em thru windows media player now and if they are a lil bit less than loud enough there I know they will be about right when posted...also I have a certain setting I always use on my speakers and on my windows volume so there is no variance there...I haven't posted for a few days, but have found the variance to be consistant for a while now...

Perhaps they are normalized when uploaded?? Phill????

I always normalize mine to ~95% (in Adobe Audition) after mix down before encoding to mp3. My thinking is that you only have a limited resolution (16 bits) and I don't want to waste it by not using most of the dynamic range...
