Even a few of the local bars will have some type of show, with green beer and all. It seems this event is mainly for an older crowd, and I know it is bigger back East than it is on the West Coast, and down South. Is this more of a regional thing?
Not trying to pull your chain Lone Ranger, It's still big
in the south, just about every city from St Augustine
to San Antonio, has anevent or parade to celebrate
St.Paddys day! Its bigger in scope to Mardi Gras,
not as prolific or extravagant, with the former being
A celebration and the latter a party of epic proportions,
Spirits flow freely at both events! Some citys, that parade
for St. Paddys are Houston, Dallas, Baton Rouge, Jackson,
it is even bigger along the gulf coast with a parade from
town to town. funny thing St.Augustine claims to have been
the first city In the world, with a parade to celebrate the
occasion, whereas San Antonio, has dyed their Riverwalk
Canals green!
