Um, the screeching of the speakers, the wincing of not only myself, but others in my house and anothers that heard them. I'm not talking about someone that RIGHTFULLY deserved a 9 or 10, but someone that was GIVEN that inappropriately. AND it happens a LOT on this site. Even now.
ROTFLMAO!!! oh geez I SO know what you're saying Matt!!!
garsh... hope MINE wasn't one of those!!! (nope... I never got any 10s) heeheh!!!!

MortenN wrote: If we really wanted a rating system I think songs should be rated in ex. six categories:
Pitch Timing Diction Vocal clarity/quality Emotion Recording/mixing
Each category should be given from 0-10 points. The total number of points tallied perhaps with some weighting since ex. pitch is more important than recording quality.
I think that would be AWESOME Morten, but it would probably be just too much to ask of Phill!! He's probably ready to slap all of us right now as it is. ! I would, however, like to keep that handy for myself... to remind me of all the major things to pay attention to (of the things that can be noticed online anyway)

webguru wrote: HUH?! Okay I'm confused (again) Can someone provide a brief synopsis of this topic? ===== I am working on a new 5 star rating system. You will have the option of 5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars, 2 stars, & 1 star that will be it. No explaination - no details. That will be it! However, I am also working on a more complex rating system which I plan to preview sometime in the near future. You willl have the option to allow others to use that. (similar to MortenN's - but with 1 to 5 scale) But that is in the works... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hello i came by for a quick look at my latest sub and i believe it doesn't matter what you do with the rating system simple ,complex, or none rating it's my believe and i say this looking back at the few months i am on the site ,when you are a friend or if i like you it's a great sub 10 all over ( maybe i'm wrong ) but i had some subs that i thought were not bad but i only had a few comments and a lower ranking and i also did some subs that were doubtfull but i got a 10 wow! i was glad and hopefull for my next sub what a dissapointment the song was no lesser but the ranking was ,it didn't bother me much but when i listened to some subs that were (honestly) very bad and i saw the ranking that really got my trousers down i don't know how you can get it right i believe you can't ! it's just a game of (for some people at least ) who i like or not it's not always so but quite a few times it is , i don't really know why i'm saying this all maybe i'm dissapointed over my own subs but on the other site when i hear some people sing i don't think i'm that bad and i'm not saying i'm good there are certainly better singers on the site but on the other side who am i to say this to you i wish you luck with this problem i still believe you can't solve it but i hope it turn's out good for anyone and people listen to one and other and if it's any good let it simple now but do not listen and say nothing at all that's frustrating believe me i know ,i hope you understand what i'm trying to say cause my english is not so good merry christmas to everybody ===== I really appreciate everyone feedback & input. Whether you agree or not with each other it provides info to me so that I can improve the site. Buttrfligyrl wrote: (snip) ...and I for one would love to see the name calling come to an end...
