Maybe that's why Jim also left this forum. Putting up with all the crap being dished out of just this forum alone.
I'm sure you can dig up any "bad" in a company.
But keep in mind that the past is the past and "we" as Professional KJ's need to move forward and assist in bringing up the new generation of karaoke on the right foot.
You guys in the USA have Trump for President, We have Trudeau here in Canada.
Now if you want to complain/debate ... do it with them.
But in the meantime feel free to submit more song requests.

Jim left PEP - not the forum, he still pops in the forum from times to time. He said he would not answer any more questions regarding them, enjoyed his karaoke endeavors but it's time to move on to other things. He didn't 'leave the forum' but being he no longer has karaoke interest, there would be little reason to continue to visit a karaoke forum.

We already have a couple request threads going, they can put requests there. This thread is about to locked down so post the link to make requests direct. Thanks

I have been submitting many requests from not only other threads but also other forums. Lonman, it's great that you have submitted at least 500 tracks but we need at least 10-15 more kj's to do the same.
WE KNOW WHAT tracks are popular... What the hell does a producer know? We are given a prime opportunity to choose what songs will get produced.
Some people "like me" may also like to contact customer care directly by phone (704) 588-7778
Either way, Let's get the ball rolling with more song requests. If we Submit at least 500 tracks, this may get the attention they are after for production. one or 2 song submissions just ain't cutting it.
We need to put our Professional KJ caps on and Submit new music.
Sunfly USA is now up to 1534 tracks (adding more and more) I'm sure most of us old timers remember the times when both Sunfly & Sound Choice topped the Charts driving the karaoke industry. We also provided the drive to get our $250-$300 per night for a 5 hr show, 7 nights/week.
Lonman, if they choose to lock the thread, that's fine because nothing has changed since back in the 2000's when I joined back then. It's ok though because you guys rock!!!

Well I can tell you most of what I submitted were obscure tracks - willing to bet they won't even get a second glance (at least I got several made from karaoke.net). But I asked before, who decides what is 'karaoke worthy'. There are TONS of songs that are very much requested that may not be 'karaoke worthy' but people want to sing them. And why are they limiting it to stuff never done. There is tons of stuff not available anymore, or stuff only made that is available in the UK only - that people want today and those tracks would be just as viable to make. But again, not holding my breath on anything. Been hearing this every couple years since 2009. I will continue to focus my request on manufacturers that are actively producing. If I see something worthy of purchasing from SC anytime soon, i'll add requests more often there as well, in the meantime they have my list of requests stemming back to 1998.

I don't believe it's just them, I think they get stuck on the media highway with the various licensing / copyright holders.
It's almost like Submitting 10,000 songs at once for validation / permissions and getting a handful back, maybe 150-500 songs available for production.
and then at the same time, the Artists change there minds and request the track be removed from the digital industry.
Just recently (Last week) Def Leppard had signed on to the digital world, where as Metallica rejected, Same with Adele and a few others like Bon Jovi, and CCR. They say yeah!!! then they change their minds.

100-150??? I'd soil myself if I see them produce even 8 tracks like they promised a couple years back.

What I mean by "Karaoke worthy" are songs that will carry the karaoke industry.
Songs like "Journey - Don't Stop Believing" or "John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John - Summer Nights" or "Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline" or "Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire" or "Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer" or "Janis Joplin - Me And Bobby Mcgee" "Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire" "Kid Rock & Sheryl Crowe - Picture" "Men at Work - Down Under" (The big Australia hit)
ETC ETC ETC...

Yes, it's those "crap type songs" that are worth spending the Production money on that will keep karaoke going and keeps all of us in business for the long term. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On an opposite note
Songs From Artists like Frank Zappa, Adam Sandler type music that clear tables and eventually will kill the karaoke industry (Don't waste your time submitting this type of stuff) Yes they actually are songs that get sung that we regret having to push that play button.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kudos to the creator of the DK set. Now that was a primo set back in the day along with the Pioneer Lazer Karaoke.
The songs they offered are "Karaoke Worthy"

Problem is that the only genre making anything Karaoke worthy in my opinion is Country. The rest have absolutely no staying power. There are songs that some companies did that I wish someone like Karaoke Version or Party Tyme would remake correctly. I hate the only version available of Remember Me by Journey, the first song in the post Steve Perry era. I have every Journey song ever put out on Karaoke. But I doubt that any more get released.

Well guess what DannyG2006 Def Leppard just went digital and they are on their North American tour with ... You guessed it... JOURNEY.
I myself am a huge journey fan and will be more than happy to submit every single song from all their albums on your behalf.
Hey if we worked together as a team to submit songs to "All" of the existing producers we will more than likely get them released between Sybersound, Resicio, etc, etc. "For it is "WE" who they listen to the most"
DannyG2006 you are correct in saying that Country is a pretty solid genre for the karaoke industry. Here in Canada, Country is getting huge but lest we forget that it was Nashville that inspired us on that part.

But if it's not going to be considered - then so be it, i'll keep my requests going to manufacturers that will have a stronger chance to actually make something I want and need for our singers. And quit requesting to SC since there will be no 'karaoke staying power'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Quote: Kudos to the creator of the DK set. The songs they offered are "Karaoke Worthy" Right back in the days of karaoke starting, they had to put out the most popular (high on billboard type charts) tracks first - that would only make sense. After the first few years they started stepping out on the not so popular (ie in the top 100 billboard type popular, not limiting to the top 20 or higher) but still requested by singers. Me personally I like hearing obscure, stereotypical karaoke crap that gets overdone & hated by every kj after the first hundred times get really old.

I'm just being honest here and not biased in any way. KJ's vs. Singers vs. Customers enjoying karaoke. For it was a wise man who once said "Me personally I like hearing obscure, stereotypical karaoke crap that gets overdone & hated by every kj after the first hundred times get really old."
But when it comes to songs like Frank Zappa. Sorry Dude' U sittin' on the bench.
