Does anyone know how to convert an xml karaoke songbook database into KJpro. The database was created with Karaoke-Go-Round.

why would you want to bother?

KjPro has the ability to merely select the discs, and then create the songbook from those discs... if you have a lot of "customs", merely add them by hand.

I'm trying to avoid adding all 22K songs by hand. The Karaoke-Go-Round Software scans your MP3+G files and creates a database automatically. I know it is possible to convert the database either to access or excel, just don't know how to do it. So I figure even with a 6 month search on how to figure out to do it would be quicker than doing all that by hand. The software also only lists each individual song once instead of having a whole songbook page dedicated to Friends in Low Places. And when you have books that big you want to consolidate as much as possible.

Does the karaoke go round scan the file by the file name that you type in or can it read each cdg and get the info from the the actual saved disked . I think I asked that write!!! Does it pick up each song and number even if you saved each disk by the disk and song number for example I saved all my cdg's like this 25-10 or 28-12 I didnt name each song

Hey everyone...

There are ways to convert / Import xml data into either text data or another database type. Getting the data into the KJPro database is a bit tuff...

Can I make a suggestion.. ???

We use a program that doesn't have all the bell and whistles as Sax and Dotties or Mimic Audidtion.. It's simpler, but sometimes when your doing a gig, simpler is much better anyway.. ;-) It's called MP3Karaoke
The program isn't updated or supported anymore but it works really well.

You zip the 2 files. the file names are entries in an access database that references the name / artist and location of the file. the program unzips the song into temp space then sends the song to winamp where you use a CDG plugin.. ;-)

As for the book, you can use the Access database that the program uses to create and design queries for your book. Here's the bonus.. NO Hard coding and choosing songs!!!!

drop me a private message and we can talk if you need some help..

Take Care
