Alan, I think you cross the line here a bit. Everybody here knows it’s fake but posting something with a disparaging connotation can be risky especially when you’re posting it in an open forum.
There’s a word for it: ‘Digital permanence’. What you post on the internet stays on the internet. It will never go away. This could very well go out there in the social media circles. My wife for one did not find this amusing. She said it is borderline offensive.
Here’s another risk. I am not a lawyer but I think you’re inviting liability associated with copyright or trademark infringement by altering the creative work of others, in this regard, the cover of the Recording Magazine, without their permission. I’m sure they will not appreciate this one. Think about it!
