I'm glad you were busy. I had a great night too. 30 singers and great crowd. To be honest, after about 11:00pm, most folks that were there lost interest in the election and it turned into a regular night.

I'm going to have a "post election day party" tonight. Congratulation and sympathy cards will be given out as needed.

Slow, but had a couple of birthdays going and that helped.

Politics and karaoke don't go good together at my karaoke. I have several hillary backers that come and so I can't say anything or they won't come back. so politics is off limits! I like my singers and don't need any reason to make them feel uncomfortable!

No politics are discussed at my shows, either. It was just an inquiry if there was a noticeable difference.

I showed up an hour before show-time (like I always do) and the place was packed with Republicans all watching the election coverage on Fox and CNN.
The local candidates for County Commissioner, 9th Judicial DA, Board of Ed and more were present and when the results were in, several made comments and short speeches.
My show start was delayed for 2 hours, but we had 12 signed up and waiting and we had fun for the next 3 hours and I got paid my base rate so it all worked out.
I have to say that there was a lot of bewilderment and outright concern for the presidential election result. There was literally crying and calls for revolution...

thought it'd be an awful night full of tumbleweeds. at first when we walked in, mgmnt said we'd cancel since there's barely folks in the venue. but the bartender made mgmnt change their mind. and we went ahead, tried our best. turned out to be not as awful night as i thought it'd be.
