If you really really want a track of a song but can't find it or are pretty sure it doesn't exist, what's the next step? How do you go about getting one made?

Mandy Moore did a great version of I Feel The Earth Move. The Carole King version is too slow and the Martika version is higher and very 80s sounding. The Mandy Moore version is lower and juuuuust right.

I just did a couple searches and can't find it. Usually if a song didn't break the top 40, they don't take the time to throw it into a CD+G.

You can ask the companies about making the track. Odds are they won't, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Maybe your best bet is find a musical version of the song, maybe on an EP, where they also give you an instrumental version and go with that.

Only song release to single was Candy (according to Tower Records and Amazon.co.uk).

You can either try to get a midi version (usually marginal at best), try to convince a CDG company to produce it for you and a couple thousand of Mandy Moore fans begging to get it made, or....

There are ways to speed up and slow down a song. You might be able to rip the Carole King version and speed up the music on a computer without trashing the pitch too much. You'll likely have to fix the timing on the lyric swipes as well. Then burn it back to CDG for personal use.

Another option is to drop the Martika version a couple keys and see how it sounds (easier).
