I just found out that ALTER BRIDGE...will be releasing their next album in Oct "THE LAST HERO"...hopefully some of their new stuff will find it way to the karaoke format...Cant wait...love this Band

If I would have left a similar post, it would have been criticized immediately.

I went through the first few pages of the REQUEST THREAD and there were plenty of people who had made requests with the artist's name first and then the title of the song and none of them were reprimanded for not following the protocol mentioned in the original post. As soon as I made a request with the artist's name first, Lonnie made a point of telling me that I did it the wrong way. Did my feelings get hurt? No. Did I feel like I was told to shut the **** up? No. I edited my request and moved on. Just noticing the selective enforcement.

Kind of a different scenario since the OP just said he hoped stuff would be made and then went on to enforce that no one else had interest, and since it was put in the regular discussion thread, it is completely open to discussion. UNLIKE the actual request thread where people are just asked for what they'd personally like to see made without the need for critique for just requesting a song.

Yep it is all about location. THIS is not the 'request' thread. THIS is a 'discussion' thread. He is more than welcome to put his specific Altar Bridge requests into the request thread in which other will either vote on it or ignore it as they do not need/want them.

if it was me, I would have been told to put it in the request thread where it belongs. Since he asked, I think Alter Bridge is crap and should never be made for karaoke.

This was a question about what people thought of Alter Bridge....none of their singles from their new album has been released yet...when they are I will be submitting..this forum was about discussing alter Bridge as a Band and to inform those who did not know about their upcoming release

I don't think there is anything negative in my answer to Gemini where I stated I am not familiar with the group and have not made the time to listen to them on YouTube. Just because I said I haven't made the time now, doesn't mean I might not in the future.


Being told what format to put your song requests in, is NOT the same thing as critiquing someone else's song requests because YOU feel YOUR REQUEST is more important than anyone else's!!!

To borrow an old quote from someone here who used to be an active member on the old JOLT Forum... Call a WAAAAAHm-bulance!!!!

And if you go back and look I also made reminders here and there to please post i n title - artist format so don't feel so special that you were the only one that got the message.

You want to know what I think of Alter Bridge?? I love them!! One of the best hard rock acts out there. Myles Kennedy has an excellent voice. The rest of the band has certainly come a long way from the early Creed stuff, (which I happen to be a fan of Creed, too.).

The New single by Alter Bridge is pretty good..check it out on their website
