Damn... only 128kbs, I think I'll get the SCDG anyway. Compression at 128, you can always hear the highs clip on cymbals and such. I'll slowly get the CDGs that have songs that I truly want as I have most of the songs on the SCDG collection, although the DK collection has some songs that are only found in their collection.

Last question, what's the difference, if any, with the original and millenium encore for the CD+Gs?

I think the difference is less songs in the Millennium Encore series. I believe that set was just a re-compilation of the original DK 1-99 set, minus the tracks they couldn't get re-licensed to release.

Thanks for the replies guys. I may just stick with the Super CDGs if the audio is up to snuff. I did get a look at some DK samples on YT:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmmV_oUfSgY

Which looks to the the Super CDG version of All Cried Out

http://en.musicplayon.com/play?v=275997

Which looks to be the regular CDG version.

Actually they both have about the same number of songs. They replaced the titles they didn't renew with new titles. Both are about 80% the same and about 20% different. Another major difference is that the original 1-99 set had 18 songs per disc with no particular theme, whereas in the complete Millennium set there are 115 discs, each with the standard 15 songs per disc. Also each disc had a theme ie 50's male hits, or an all Moody Blues disc etc....

I got to say, This set gets a lot of play at my shows and is often requested by some singers.

I'm a big fan of what the singer want, quality is secondary as karaoke isn't an American Idol show, it's supposed to be fun!

Yeah its not perfect @128, but it does have value for the price!
