I think that rather than using asterisks it would be easier to use the actual "Radio (cleared for broadcast) Version" which would truly be the clean version. The asterisks don't make the song clean, it just denotes 'insert profanity here' and experience has shown that if the singers know the song (even the kids), 9 times out of 10, they will . Any song that you have to change the lyrics to asterisks should still be listed as explicit. This way the KJ doesn't end up getting blindsided. That's what I've always found as well, if they see asterisks, they still say it, if they see a clean lyric, they will typically sing it that way.

The artists wrote the songs the way they wrote them. Editing them changes the flavor of the song. Should leave the editing to the singers.

It should be up to the host whether or not they should be sang depending on the type of establishment. Censoring them is an injustice to us and compromises the original artists recording. So, please do not censor or omit the foul language.

What's up with the ALL CAPS for the song names?

Loving it, so far. Though I have noticed that some of the songs have a bit much compression on them. I know that is the "new" way to record, but it is not always a good thing. An example, Whitesnake released a cd which consisted of old Deep Purple songs that Davis Coverdale did. Great album, but so overly compressed that it sounds terrible. Please tell your band members to lighten up on the compression, and set the music free. Thanks. I have to say, that I am hoping, that over time, you start to re-record some of those old Pocket Songs version, and give them the Party Tyme sound. I know I mentioned New York State of Mind, but there are others, that REALLY need to be re-done. Bought and sang Cut The Cord. DAMN, that is a hard song to sing. . That is coming from one that sings older Shinedown. I will be practicing that one, for sure. Thanks for all the good work!!

Compression isn't in the bands/musicians control. That is all done in post production finalizing once all the tracks are actually finished.

Then tell the production team to lay off, a bit. Some of SBI's stuff and some of SC's stuff is over compressed. You don't want to make that mistake. AT 320 KB/S, the music is not supposed to sound muddy. You can equalize the crap out of some songs, and they just don't sound any better.

Done!

I see that 53 more songs just went in bringing the total up to 5,722, however NONE of those songs are listed in the latest addition section. Still the same as last week with 5,669 songs.

Still the same as last week with 5,669 songs. That's because they are older tracks (production vice) that just came now available. The list on the front page lists songs in the production order / date when the track was added to the database.

Maybe have a newly added 'back catalog' section?? Or again add a date to the song as to when it was added to the site (be it a new or old song) then we can search and sort by specific dates added!!

Back catalog is being added. KSF is getting back from their trip to Singapore, plus Thanksgiving break here in US. Website is making code changes. Official website is really not open yet. Still gathering songs that have been cleared but not processed into the website yet. New scripting work appears as new releases, not back catalog. There are still tons more tracks to process that have to be imported. Patience. It all takes time.

The preview screen is still wonky. Right half of the preview is out of the box and unviewable.
