I have been trying to make a recording using my cool edit software ..for some reason when I put the music in the first trac and record in the second ... when i go to playback or mix what I have done they are off by a few beats... is there a way to fix this... its like there is a delay in the recording ... the music itself is 2 or 3 beats before my voice has anyone eles had the same problem? (I have uninstalled, reinstalled and even upgraded) any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thank you

You quite often get a slight drift depending on the latency on your soundcard.

If the track stays in time with the music, you can maximise the track (the + magnify button) and just drag it into the right place.

If the timing gets more "off" as the song goes on, I know theres a setting somewhere in CEP to compensate for that, but I can't think where it is....

I'll have a think on it, maybe it'll come to me.... :)

OK, I found it....

When you're in multitrack mode, click on OPTIONS and then SETTINGS... then click on the MULTITRACK tab... there are 2 check boxes to the right of that window that say 1) "correct for drift in recordings" and 2) "correct for start synch in recordings"... Try checking both of those and see if that helps.....
