Anyone know where, if anywhere, one can get downloads or custom CDGs of Pop Hits Monthly tracks? They've been removed from Customburn.com.

Well, I don't know about if they were bought out or not, but did you try looking under their last known brand name before going out of business?... Sing It Now.

Pop Hits Monthly is no more. The only means of obtaining their tracks is by purchasing discs. Sites offering them for download are pirating the product.

Party Time bought out Pocket Songs (or Priddis), not PHM.

Thanks for the replies folks. Customburn were selling tracks by Pop Hits Monthky/Top Hits Monkly/Stellar/Sing It Now/whatever they called themselves... for several years, both before and after they went out of business. Not the entire catalogue mind, but a large chunk of it. I understand that the owner of the erstwhile company, who is a member of this Forum, is still about and this may not yet be the final chapter. So I wonder if what's going on the scenes at PHM what was is responsible for the disappearance of these tracks from Customburn, and whether the tracks will reappear elsewhere (This has happened before when Just Tracks/Pocket Songs appeared on Customburn they promptly disappeared from Select-a-track around the same time). Maybe someone has bought the rights to put the tracks online from Customburn (so they are forced to remove them) and the tracks about to made available on another site? I hope so, because these are excellent tracks that are just too good to be allowed to fall by the wayside.

PHM was Steller, THM was Panorama - not the same and never were. Sing It Now became PHM in the last couple years but they were separate until they merged.

Lonnie, you may be forgetting, Stellar started out with the Top Hits Monthly name, and then Panorama took it. I believe Tom had legal wars with Panorama over that name.

They did have some legal wranglings. Some releases of Panorama products are part of the Stellar CAP agreement.

This one became that one, and then morphed into that other one, while he took that other company's name, and then sued what's-ziz-name... and became his own grandpa, and Bruce Jenner isn't Bruce any more.... Are they all located in the Ozarks somewhere?? Sooweeeee, piggy, piggy...

My head hurts. Too confusing.

True but PHM only was THM for like the first year or two before Panaroma copped it. Then Stellar became Pop Hits Today/Country Hits Today, then back to Pop Hits Monthly.

Party Tyme bought Pocket Songs and Just Tracks - not PHM. PHM was on Customburn but from what I can see they are no longer available as Stellar went out of business. What is interesting is that Party Tyme is now selling tracks on Customburn and they are apparently producing all kinds of new music. I just saw an interesting video teaser for some rock songs on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Customburn?fref=ts.

They have never been known to be much for rock and neither was Pocket Songs, so if the samples in the clip are any indication, they are definitely broadening their marketing. Now if they would just offer them to US customers...

But Stellar have been out of business for quite some time now if I'm correct. The disappearance of PHM (code SS) tracks from Customburn is recent.

That's the downfall.

If I were to make some guesses.......

Stellar went under
No one is enforcing Stellar IP
CustomBurn was in no hurry to yank the product (or may simply not have known Stellar was gone)
Someone at CustomBurn finally gave it some thought and decided "better safe than sorry"
No more Stellar on CustomBurn

Sounds like somebody was pretty lazy about taking them down then....
