Anything NOT already available anywhere i'd buy - there is a long request list in this forum, i'd say start there! Anything I already have would be a pass for me.

I'm more interested in their mode of delivery, or If we are looking at adding new pages to the Gem? Time will tell... I'll Hide & Watch SC, while purchasing the new material from the Current Players who have Skin in the game...

My gut tells me PEP will never put any new music out again. I'll believe it when I see it, but with their current lawsuit charges against them, I will bet against it.

I am with Lonman, I am not going to replace any of the new songs I have already bought with SBI or Zoom just because it is SoundChoice. I couldn't be happier with 98% of the new music I have bought from SBI and Zoom. Most of the new music I sing is SBI, the rest Zoom, and I like that both have a real full sound. I can count on one hand how many songs I have bought from these two that I didn't like.
I have bought a few Singer's Solution songs because they are the only available version that I wouldn't mind replacing.
Make new music, and see how they hold up.
Felix

I think its obvious. Make the best renditions of new music and fill the gaps with songs that are unavailable anywhere else.

I don't know that it would be feasible for SC to re-enter the market at this point.
None of the antiquated laws in this country that govern the karaoke industry have changed. Copyright issues, licensing issues, trademark issues, etc. are still there. Not to mention all the restrictions on the karaoke tracks placed on the KJ. Such as who can play it, where you can play it, when you can play it, how you can play it, etc., etc..
We're not going forward, we're going backward. Other countries don't have these issues. They don't make things so damn complicated like here in the U.S.
Personally, If I was SC, I would not come back to this.

If I were going to start a karaoke music company, I would set up shop in China.
1) Copyright laws? Yep....it copied right.....move along. 2) Cheap labor 3) Growing Chinese middle class that is increasingly influenced by and looking towards westernized things so you have a local market as well as International.

Great plan, however, they already copy that product cheaper than you ever could.. Assume you can start a business there? (A$$ U Me) Not likely..

SBI is GREAT for Country. They are my go to for any and all new country. My Pop go to is Zoom. Rock is either. I find heavier songs are better from SBI, while the cleaner ones are better from Zoom.

I have never been a fan of for-profit entities using a system that basically amounts to begging as a means of fundraising...playing upon a person's emotional response to secure capital just reeks of contributory welfare...

none I don't really care for soundchoice i'm from the UK and they don't really get used here i have a couple of the karaoke channel version from custom burn i do have around 10 soundchoice discs but that's all
after reading for years how soundchoice have treated legal karaoke host it's no wonder so many people have no faith left in you
we started karaoke when the pioneer laserdisc were around we have the whole set of these and then we went to DK which we also have another full set
Sunfly hit the market back in 1992 and we started to use them
i know i type random but this is whats on my mind at the moment
I've had loads of contact with sunfly over the years sunfly are happy for me to transfer there discs to computer as long as I own the original CD also sunfly gave me full permission to convert all my sunfly laserdiscs to harddrive which I've got a letter from them granting me to do so
so soundchoice please take note why are you still trying to rip your loyal customers off by charging them a stupid fee to be able to use their discs on a computer harddrive I think in this day of age with modern tech you should move with the times
Good luck to the fellow US karaoke host all i read is you guys are having a hard time i'm glad the UK producers are still well alive and still putting new music out Joe at zoom, Sunfly , Easy Karaoke , Mr Entertainer, SBI Etc

@Mastertronic, have you had any contact with Rob from Sing To The World? He was on here a couple of years back inviting folks to email song requests, which I duly did. Six weeks later STTW published the top three on my request list, and they are very good quality too. THAT is how to run a karaoke manufacturer, if anyone from SC is reading this.

Sound Choice used to do the same thing. I had several songs I personally asked for made. Now it's Karaoke Version I request from - since STTW isn't available over here.
