I didn't know Weird Al had done a parody on Poker Face. I'll have to look it up. It's a compilation of several songs, I have a couple people that do it.

[quote="Lonman"] http://lonmanproductions.com/top100titles11-14.htm - sorted by how many times sung Hot Chocolate "You Sexy Thing" made your top 100. I'm literally finishing up a custom karaoke track of another of their songs right now ("Put Your Love in Me") for a friend of mine.

Here is our top 500 most sung songs for 2014. The top 500 are bolded, but I sorted every song by artist. 3,978 unique tracks were sung at least 1 time. http://lonmanproductions.com/top5002014artist.htmWhich songs/artists are you shocked to see sung or hardly sung at all that are staples at other shows? Here is the same list in the actual order of most sung. http://lonmanproductions.com/top5002014.htm

Eh - still would like to see reports from others shows for comparison, but for anyone who's interested here is what was popular at our shows last month. 1088 individual song titles sung at least 1 time - figure 31 days, that's a lot of new songs sung nightly. Top 100 in order of times sung http://lonmanproductions.com/top100titles1-15.htmTop 100 in artist order (top 100 are bolded) http://lonmanproductions.com/top100titlesalpha1-15.htm

28 songs from the entire list sung at my local since I've been going along, with 21 of them in the last month.

It does make a nice guide for buying but it also seems to be different for my area. After constantly seeing Drowining Pool on the list I got "Bodies" and I'm still waiting........

It seems that no one at my shows can think of new ones to get.

You have to remember our singers are aged 21-mid 40's on avg. They are a little more into rock, alternative, pop, newer country. But as you can see a lot of the basic requested karaoke songs are also done, just not as often. Bodies is usually sung by the 20-30 year olds, so if it was bought & your crowd is 40 and above on avg, then it probably won't get sung much. Only reason I started this thread originally was to get a month to month comparison between what gets sung in one place vs as to what is being sung in other places, but no one else is putting anything up to compare with. But I will throw the list up each month for those who do find it interesting.

My Request List or Played List would be 60 to 70% Spanish, So It Won't Be Very Appealing, Unless your Clientele is mostly Latino! But I will follow Your Lists, as they give me variety of requests that don't get to my neck of the woods until a few months of trial and error in the "Big City", Kind of like waiting For Sound Choice to come out with a "Best" Version, while buying PHM or THM as a stop gap to appease the Hoards, back in the Day... Thanks LonMan!

I've tried to put my list up a few times also but as I am ODB and using slips I have to input it by hand so......
I have 20s to 70s as the age group as it is the only karaoke in town at the moment. It is mostly younger. The big songs right now are "Uptown Funk" and "All About That Bass" and "Shake It Off" with the usual 90s rock thrown in. The classics they are doing are Joe Cocker, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd although they prefer the Shinedown "Simple Man."
I just thought it was funny because your "Bodies" got done so often and I never had a request for it. Finally at a wedding someone asked for it and couldn't believe I didn't have it as "every karaoke host knows they have to have that song." So I bought it a few years ago and it has yet to be done.
Maybe I will make a list of all the songs that were done even though I can't rank them as to how many times. My request list would be more interesting.....
Edit: I should clarify that I WAS totally ODB but lately I've had to supplement with downloads from DTE and KV for current hits.
