My hat's off to those of you who have been doing this successfully for awhile.

I just don't think I could deal with all the different nonsense I have seen hoisted on KJ's over the last 18 months of participating in 'karaoke'.

Stars, prima donnas, drunks, sound experts, adversarial employers, and many horrible 'singers'. You all have way more patience than I.

You get used to it.

I have always said that about 15% of being a KJ is BABYSITTING!

Patience is definitely a requirement!

Getting to the venue early, set up with plenty of time to spare, being extremely organized, and patient helps a lot. And thanks for seeing that it is a skill that not everyone can do or handle.

Agreed Alan.... When you feel that you CAN deal with it, then you can become a KJ (if that is what you want to do).
