Does anyone use sunflykaraoke in the UK ? I personally haven't bought any discs yet so can't give any input but sunfly look as if they have karaoke versions of very recent tracks.

We like Chartbuster and Sound Choice for the mainstay of our systems.

We have some Backstage, All Hits, SGB & Music Maestro which we personally don't care much for.

We've recently added the last year to year and 1/2 of Top Hits Monthly and have had a great response to!

I own a few, and know a few kjs in the UK that use those discs. as with what we're talking about, one person's trash is another's treasure.

Of the few discs I own by them, I like 'em!

Remember, Sunfly and Legends are the same company, too!

The older discs are very Ahem... ok. The newer ones are really good! I've been impressed with the quality of many of the older companies that are now putting out great product lately!

Most of the music I really enjoy singing is European, and can mainly be found on Sunfly and Pioneer. I for one enjoy these disks. Of course Sound Choice is very good, and #1 in my books for quality, but Sound Choice caters mainly for the US market, not the European market.

Most of the karaokes I go to use Sunfly discs, and the quality is usually good, but as with any set, you get good and bad.

I wouldn't choose sunfly for oldies or country, but modern pop stuff and pretty much any rock/rap/hiphop etc tracks are usually very good. They're especially good with the 80s stuff ;)

Depends Allstar... SC also has a Euro branch... and they offer songs on there that aren't normally available here in the US.

I have scores of all the previously mentioned manufacturers and then some ( Doctor Music, Amerising, Amerhits, Super Core) and will have to say they ALL have their Hits & misses (pardon the pun) EVEN the beloved Sound Choice. Some SC's are recorded at super low volume.. and as far as the lyrics, there are misspelling on all of them! SAV tends to have a few note recorded in the original key.. on the other hand, their country selection is good. DK, Zoom, Party Time, Priddis, Pop Hits are every bit as good as SC and a little less expensive..I will say that SC has the best selection of the more obscure songs. As far as the the lyrics not running in tandem with the music, Sweet Georgia Brown can be infamous for that and of all songs I noticed on, Barracuda! There is one manufactuer "R&B' which is horrible but has the hard to find r&b songs from the 50's. Backstage, as mentioned before should be kept on the backburner!!

Hmmm... my favorite is Cantalopera (discovered by mistake), but they don't have a very big selection. Worst---- probably Nu-Tech.

By the way, do any of you carry (or heard of Cantalopera)???

Sound Choice is actually one of the cheaper discs as compared to Pop Hits or some of the other companies. You can get SC Spotlight discs for $23. For 15 songs this averages about $1.50 per song. Compared to Pop Hits at $18. For 9 songs this averages $2 per song. You can get them as well for $15 on occasion (some places have specials on them occasionally as well). At $15 this average $1.66 per song. Priddis 15 song discs are $25 which averages $1.66 per song. Their Pro-Sound series have 5 songs @ $15. $3 bucks per song. SOme of their Pro-Sound series can also be bought for $7 at some places which bring their per song price down to $1.40, but alot of wasted storage space for a 5 song disc.

So, Sound Choice is no longer the highest price. They are lower $$ per song than many of the others & offer more songs per disc.

I would agree with most of these ratings. I have purchased a few of the newer MM discs and they seem to have improved considerably. Zoom and Priddis are decent, though I don't have a lot of them. The little flute line thingy that DK has can be annoying at times, but much of the music and swipes are good; I also personally like the goofy graphics (comic relief material). As stated, the 9+9 PHM discs are pricey. If you subscribe to multiple series, it can bring the cost down some though. I really haven't had any use for the vocal assist tracks.
