I have a list of three I consider to be really outstanding. Two because they are a bunch of great songs with killer instrumentation:

SC8146 -- Southern Fried Rock (Sound Choice)
DK3078 -- 60's (DK Karaoke)

Plus an artist disk that is awesomely done:

RSZ608 -- Steely Dan (Radio Starz)

Anyone else have an all-time fave?

I'll add SC 8472 to the list --- "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." A MUST HAVE disc... especially at this time of the year.

Micky, DK3078 is pretty good, but for me it would be SC8218 w/ Gary Puckett, Buckinghams, Vogues, Rascals, Doors, Johnny Rivers, etc.

Sound Choice 8148 is one of our all time best used disc.

For the holidays I nominate Top Tunes TU-66.

If you are a Neil Diamond fan - and I am, ( oh, I'm gonna catch it for this) Backstage ( yes, the karaoke frisbee company) BS9417

For a novelty just scewin' around disc I nominate Legends LG089

For a single disc with ALL keepers and no waste I would have throw in the SC8108 oldies disc. Every track a classic.

soo many that i can't remember.. but the trooper disc by karaokemaker is darn good. also gm1002 which has doug & the slugs, spirit of the west and powder blues band. Interesting fact - Doug and the Slugs actually did the recording/instruments for the karaoke version of 'too bad' on that disc.

Since Backstage was brought up , I'll keep the best of the worst list going. When I first started doing karaoke, I used to get a ton of use out of SGB14. Pretty good quality by SGB standards.

At the risk of getting picked on I would like to mention SC8125. Not because of the controversy surrounding this product but consider the content quality of the disc itself; such as the very close musical recreations coupled with excellent vocal backgrounds. Backstage? Zoom? Not even close! Now, let the sh*t hit the fan!

When i first started Classic Karaoke CK28 - was the centre of my universe. If people ommited track codes for better versions and I was in a rush. The song was probably on this disc.

"I've Never Been to Me" (or, "The Barbie Doll Song" (as I like to refer to it)) by Charlene.

No argument here. It absolutely is the best, but for those who haven't heard or cannot get - the Zoom would be my next choice with BS filling a couple gaps. Get Over It from BS is pretty good.

Yeah. Its missing those hot "Toad the wet sprocket" & "Crash test dummies" songs.

Anyone remember the 4 disk set of ORIGINAL Motown recordings? I still get a TON on play out of those, and you really can't beat karaoke made from the original tracks, especially when you are talking about 1960s motown R&B.
