But a cat is the same as a dog. They both have a head, body, four legs, a tail, and fur.

It was......until your very first post to this thread where you turned it into an Anti-SC campaign. The Lone Ranger wrote: 8) So Danny a host buying the SC product and 1:1 compliant and still cant use his purchased material, because he didn't say mother may I to SC. Then hosts wonder why I have boycotted SC, really? They are the only manu living or dead that put on these silly restrictions. The only way they can license their current unsold inventory is to use this legal process in order to generate sales. Unfortunately this whole little drama will continue to unfold until one of two things happen. Either SC runs out of unsold inventory or they run out of money to continue the legal process. Since both are part of the suits drives sales marketing strategy. I just find it surprising that their reputation has not been more damaged, than it already has. One....Trick....Pony.

The value proposition at $1.49 per song is very different from the value proposition at $2.99 or $3.99 per song. $3.99 per song is a bit steep. That being said, I would only use your service for songs I absolutely could not find elsewhere. But SC WOULD get my business back, if this is the route they went.

i agree with Smooth. if they were $2.99 which is right with Karaoke Version that produces what i feel are the best renditions (usually) then i would also buy more SC material. it may no be my immediate go to as others have caught up to SC in quality of renditions, but i would definately buy songs that i have avoided buying because of the un-needed tracks on the discs containing those wanted songs. i wont spend $100.00 on those 6 or 7 discs for 10 songs, so SC gets $0 i WILL spend $30.00 for those 10 songs, so SC gets $30 (replace SC with other manufacturers and repeat, not an SC nasty statement.)

But I would pay up to $5 per track if it was something I absolutely needed & couldn't find anywhere else, but it wouldn't be a source for regular sales from me.

Maybe Chris, Bazza, SC is the one trick pony. They don't seem to be able to go back into new production. They have sold their means of production and most of their library. The one trick they seem to have is this suits drives sales scam of theirs. Just maybe they are the ones that are sad? SC wants everyone to think they are still major players and they really haven't done anything in over 5 years. Except of course played this legal three card monte on the hosts looking for the red queen.

I think I have 3 or 4 15 song custom discs from Clark. They definitely weren't a main supplier.

Never been down to $4/track. Always close to the $5 mark, depends on the day's conversion gain or fluctuation. Au$ & US$ are almost equivalent with about 3-4 cents difference during that time. Having said that, It's well worth the price especially for those tracks no longer avail in u.s.

You are the one that started the OP and brought up one trick ponies in the first place Chris. Why should I have to defend anything? I'm not the one going around trying to sue everyone in the karaoke service industry. It is way beyond time that SC should just drop this whole legal farce, no other manu has seriously tried to pursue this course, only them. If this is such a good way to go why haven't all the other manus jumped on the bandwagon? Maybe because the wagon doesn't have any horses hitched up, and it is not going anywhere. Just like this new production boast of SC is not going anywhere. You want to give them a couple more years, what happens after that, if no new product is made, we give them a couple more years? Every year SC does not go back into production is another year of lost revenues and decreases the chance that SC will ever get back to new production. They are dead they just don't know it.
