zoom put out an eagles disc that was just as good, if not better as soundchoice. I think its just the story behind the whole thing that makes it so popular.

if someone wants to pay that much money, more power to them. I could have gotten $500 for my set of 3 Gamesmaker discs but unfortunately I gave one of them away and the guy wasn't interested unless it was a complete set.

i also once saw an ad for an original Trooper disc from karaokemaker. winning bid was $230

I have the Zoom discs along with the 8125, I wouldn't say they are better, but being they are (or were last time I checked) available - make them desirable and on equal level. If given the choice between the 2, the SC IS better but even I wouldn't spend more than original retail for it at most.

I've pretty much said the same thing about the 2 ZOOM Eagles discs. It still amazes me how people are willing to spend so much money for that 1 SC disc, and yet the ZOOM versions are (IMO) every bit as good... and CHEAPER TOO!!!!!!!!

Even scarier: Backstage, best known for putting out some of the worst frisbees.....er, I mean discs ever made, put out a decent Eagles disc. Not awesome, but it didn't suck and is completely useable. They have a very few others like that as well, such as Queen and Doors, and actually did one of the best Neil Diamond discs ever. Must have been an accident...

When Backstage was the only readily available Eagles disc - it was completely useable, I even had an obscure laserdisc with Eagles/Simon & Garfunkel, but even that disc wasn't very good. I don't use either much anymore since someone gave me the 8125 and I have most of the rest on Zoom. Only a couple songs I still use the BS disc for .

I have one singer that loves the BS version of Seven Bridges Road, and I agree with him
it's much better then the SC version.

I have almost a complete set of BS disc (missing about 10 disc's) and the eagles disc is
the only one I ever use.

There's no doubt that the Zoom disc of the Eagles is awesome. The quality of the music and harmonies is outstanding. It has certainly leveled the playing field with the SC version if not surpassed it.

You'd have to be crazy to spend more than $20 for the SC disc especially when it's no better that the Zoom version.

It may have leveled the playing field for those tracks, but it still hasn't affected the price that that SC disc still commands.

So far, this person (for that latest auction) has received 4 offers. I wonder what these people are actually offering, and what type of (greedy) amount this Seller is willing to accept. This is the 1st time I've seen someone offering up that disc USED at the $400 price (which seems to be what most people have been starting their auctions off at for a NEW disv).

I have the SC Eagles disk, and use it frequently, but I've got to add, that Backstage did a pretty good version of Get Over It, which is NOT on the SC disk.

There have been several used SC8125 that have sold for well over $400 in the past two years. The highest I have seen a used go for since I started paying attention (almost 3 years now) was $700.

Which all seems very strange since you can download the exact same tracks for free from any number of torrent sites. What dumbass is paying $400 for the disc?

Someone who might want to legally obtain such a disc.

OK... I guess I don't watch for it too often. I've seen Used ones go up on the auction block in the past, but like I said, this is the first Used one that I've seen, where the Seller started the auction at the price that New ones usually go for.

For audit purposes; proof of ownership.

Hey Danny & Brian, don't think we should put too much emphasis on that LEGAL word if we're talking about that particular disc. Could be some laughter break out here on that one..... well maybe not here because everybody who might laugh at that has been banned but you know what I mean.

With all due respect, rickgood, I wouldn’t say a person paying $400 or more for a very rare commodity or collector’s item is a dumba**. However, a pro kj downloading “from a number of torrent sites” those I would call ___________(fill the blanks). Just saying…. Peace, bro! :beermates:

did anyone ever get/see a copy of the music only version of the eagles disc that soundchoice released after the whole 8125 debaucle?

If you look very closely at the picture the bald eagle is giving the finger.

i thought it was a very valid commentary..

This is the only one I know of. Instrumental only disc of Eagles, Stones, Springsteen and a few others they couldn't do at the time.

Take It Easy, also not on the sc disc. I have the backstage, lg, zm & laser. Zoom I think was an excellent version.
