Smoothedge they were using karafun and karafun's songs which won't play in any other player. Even bragging that they are the future of karaoke. Maybe once WiFi becomes more stable I'll jump on the bandwagon.

There is a popular online karaoke website where singers can upload their recordings. The site claims to provide FREE access to thousands of FREE karaoke tracks. I did a dozen searches for popular tracks and without fail, all they did was aggregate YouTube and show YouTube versions.
So this is a commercial web site, selling access to users, leveraging content on YouTube, that shouldn't be on YouTube in the first place. YouTube has no motivation to pull any of it because it generates ad revenue for them as well.
The industry as a whole sets a poor example for those wishing to be above board businesses.

So I was watching the last year's mbkr 4.0 and watching the Joe's section on marketing and he showed his you tube channel full of sc tracks...not singers on stage, the actual tracks and graphics.... if he is there as a speaker and sc has no problem with his putting their tracks on you tube, I think it's no really a problem at all.

As you know that the mobile phone signal jammer can cut off the signals of the mobile phones and soon make it impossible to make phone calls or send messages. In this way when you need the peaceful condition and want to stay in it, you can just use the best mobile phone jammer to help you achieve your goal. And now as the technology develops with high speed the advanced wireless signal blocker has come into the market and are well welcomed by the group of people who need the jammer product.

Nice first post.. And you suggest using a device that will get jail time for first offenders. Not sure how this works elsewhere, but here in the US, is banned. Perhaps you should rethink this.

The Saturday show I do used to be on Wednesday w/a host that didn't have a clue. Only thing he had going (other than his 2 page songbook) was an SM58 wired mic. Anyway, his song source was,,, you guessed it, youtube. First time I ever saw it. Never heard any buffering but of course lots of dead air time and some crappy versions. He had to look the song up on youtube before letting you know if you could sing it. I didn't like it. They had me fill in once and decided to kill Weddy nights after that and hire me on Saturday nights. I want no part of youtube in my karaoke business.

any thoughts/opinions? We had a band come in for a few hours a bit back, and they used an iPad to gather up the lyrics.. Sounded pretty good, and since the music was live, no harm no foul?
