So Don felder can license tracks if he didn't sing one of those agreements with Frey and Henley?am I reading that right?

That is correct. If you Cue and I wrote and copyrighted a song and Lonnie wanted to make a karaoke version of it, then he would only need the permission of one of us. Now I'm not sure how it would work if we had an agreement that all us us have to agree to let it be used in karaoke. I say this because if Cue (you can't trust him, he thinks Bud is something other than soda pop,  ) gave Lonnie permission to use it to make a karaoke tract and Lonnie was not aware of the side agreement between the owners, I'm not sure what could be done to Lonnie, if anything.

I don't know but a song about wrecking your boyfriend's truck for no reason (other than you think he MAY cheat) seems rather violent. El Paso is violent. The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia is violent. Don't worry Lone, there is lots of violence in country music too.

There is a point where the host is responsible for the content of his show and how it reflects on the type of atmosphere he or she is trying to create. There is already too much violence in our society and using racially charged songs with negative content takes away from the family based show I used to try and promote. Some people think the pussycat song is offensive some don't. I had a young man sing the song once and that caused a problem at my show, the very same place later a little old couple did it and nobody said anything. Go figure, same song?
