Robin Trower - Fly Low
Robin Trower - Messin' The Blues
Robin Trower - Caladonia
OR ANYTHING ELSE BY ROBIN TROWER
I've written to pretty much every disk company requesting his stuff , but it seems that they think that I alone won't spend enough on his stuff to make it worth their while hehe. Can you tell I'm a Trower fan? he's been my favorite recording artist of all time since the mid "70"'s I still listen to his stuff EVERY DAY !...gimme' summ Trower allready ! ...arrrrggggghhhhh P.S. I know that a few of his songs are on cdg (and I have them),but they're pretty butchered up...except for Sweet Wine Of Love,on Dangerous. It's a GREAT wedding song , I've sung it at a couple receptions in the past.

Only thing I could find for Robin Trower on KJPRO is:
"Bridge Of Sighs" - DKK - DK098
"Lady Love" - Sweet Georgia Brown - SGB04
"Sweet Wine Of Love" - Dangerous - DG03
"Too Rolling Stoned" on two cdgs: Magic Tracks SCDG MTS1029
& Sweet Georgia Brown SGB54

CELTIC, I saw your older post where you put "Love will find a way". I hope you find that track; I LOOOVE that song and always will. In fact, I love that whole CD - Big Generator.

Thanks Tigger. I love all Yes, but that song will do. Will sing anything Yes, Asia, Genesis, Kansas, Styx, etc, etc, etc....That isn't all I do though. I sing a little of everything really, but as far as rock goes, I am really into the progressive bands.

Sounds like you grew up in my era! 70's rock is the best music, to me. And I love progressive rock too, except some stuff by ELP is just too out there for me. I love analyzing music and genres and bands - is there a term for that? Were Kansas and Styx progressive or did you just include them in that list because you like to sing them?

I have seen them listed as progressive rock although I feel the kind of progressive I tend to think of as prog bands are the following:

Yes, Genesis, Renaissance, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, and their like. These are some of my favs, and I am a huge Renaissance and Annie Haslam fan.

Good to know there are those on here that appreciate that kind of music. Much of it isn't made into karaoke I'm afraid as it isn't so popular with the masses and besides it would have to be some of their shorter songs as the long instrumentals don't work in a karaoke setting.

To answer your question, yes, I added Styx and Kansas as I love to sing them. I also do 5 songs by Simply Red and the best song I do is Holding Back The Years. So, I don't just sing rock, but all types of music. I like to broaden my horizons and mix it up so no one knows what I will sing next. LOL Keeps the audience on their toes.

There are sooo many!

First my favorite band...The Moody Blues:
WATCHING AND WAITING
AND THE TIDE RUSHES IN
FOR MY LADY
EYES OF A CHILD
LOST IN A LOST WORLD

Cat Stevens:
SAD LISA

Al Jarreau:
only a few tunes on karaoke - too many need to added to list here

George Benson:
same as above

And that's just for starters!

There is a program that allows you to take ANY song and make it into a playable karaoke track. I had a dude come by my gig with a disc made from this software. I must admit it was mind blowing and VERY tempting. I looked up the internet address and it seemed legit......yeah right. Anything this great has to be illegal.............

umm.... whassit called???

I'd love to have karaoke versions of a bunch of songs from Gloria Estefan's "Destiny" cd.. (of which I think there are NO karaoke tracks) and for her "Mi Tierra" cd.. I think "Mi Tierra" is the only one i've seen (and not a great version at that.

And since it's Christmas time... i'd LOVE to have karaoke versions of Stevie Wonder's songs "One Little Christmas Tree" and "Someday at Christmas" I'd also LOVE Hary Belafonte's version of "Mary's Boy Child"

and I'm always up for more Earth Wind and Fire tunes... I'd love for there to be a version of "In the Stone" in particular

I'm sure there's more things i'm not thinking of, but those are the first few that spring to mind...

Elisha

knightshow, one of my karaoke hosts finally got Don't Cry by Asia, just last week. Must have been released early. Anyway, sang it and added it to my list of songs I sing. Thanks for the info.

Some of the ones I've desperately tried looking for (and even offered to pay people to record) are:

1. Non piu mesta from "La Cenerentola"--- G. Rossini
2. Exsultalte Jubilate, kv 165 (158a)--- W. A. Mozart
3. Lascia ch'Io Pianga from "Rinaldo"---- G. F. Handel
4. Viens, Malika from "Lakme" ---- L. Delibes
5. A Guarda Sorella from "Cosi fan Tutte" --- W. A. Mozart
6. "Assisa a pie d'un salice- Deh! calma, o Ciel, nel sonno" from "Otello" ---G. Rossini

7. Una donna come me from "Il mondo della luna"--- J. Haydn

If anyone is interested in recording any of these, I can get you the sheet music.

Didn't you ever get the Exsultalte Jubilate backing I did for you??

I think I still have it here on my pc, so if you want me to send it again, drop me an email :)

Has anyone seen a karaoke version of
"Bringing Out The Elvis" by Faith Hill
I've never seen it..... I'd like to give it a shot one of these days.....
OR
"I Love You" By Faith Hill
everyone seems to get that confused with Martina McBride's "I Love You" but they're totally different songs.....

Take Your Whiskey Home

"Well, my baby, she don't want me around.
She said she's tired of watchin' me fall down.
She wants the good life, only the best.
But i like that bottle better than the rest.
And she said: i think that you're headed for a whole lot of trouble."
