I knew it would eventually happen, and it has done so in spades. Three (3) of the screw on battery covers were broken last week by people dropping mics at one of my shows.

GTD Audio doesn't list them on their site, though I am going to email them directly to ask.

I did find them on Amazon -

http://www.amazon.com/GTD-Audio-Battery-Cover-Microphone/dp/B006ZQBDT0/ref=sr_1_15?m=A2AP2DMBNV0YIH&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1400893769&sr=1-15

But there doesn't appear to be a way to select the color for the cap. I would like to get different colors just to maintain consistency and make it easy to identify them.

Anyone know where they can be found in colors?

I use electrical ID tape. You can get it at Lowe's, Home Depot ect. I put it just below the head and at the bottom of the battery cover to make it easy for me to see. I think you can reuse the old color thing on the new cover.

What colors do they come in?

I decided to go ahead and order them via Amazon. Sent a note with the order requesting 2 of each color.

Alan B - there is a color cap at the end of each one. Red/Green/Blue/Yellow

Thanks. I have the 622 model and am now going to get the 687, which I should have done in the first place. Love the 622 but want 4 mics instead of two. Will probably end up selling it since I have no use for it now. It's only a couple of months old.

Anyway, I'll probably order a couple of spare battery covers too. One of each color.

Thanks for the info/ link guys.

Mine are back in circulation again and they sound great.

I do get dropouts sometimes when they are used 30 feet away from the rig because of the silly antennas being mounted in THE BACK. :?

But they DO sound better and feel better by far than the VPs of the past.

Think i'll order some backup caps too. Won't be too long before they're needed.

I remember the shure mics needing one every few months from being dropped.

I didn't ask that. I figured my covers were blue & orange, that is what I asked for.

These caps fit on my Shure mic as well.

I use the 788 series. Dual diversity. Never had a dropout, ever.

Same. We have some smokers that will actually walk outside and sing from the smoking area from time to time.
