Hi Phil!

Just curious....why do you delete so many of my comments????
I don't think that I'm offending anyone by my comments.
I'm the type of guy, that speaks what I feel.....is that wrong???
I spend that little time I have on singersshowcase, by listening to others and make comments on their songs.
It take quite some time. And when I come back later to check up on my comments (see if there has been some replies) I often these days, find my comments has been deleted????

Why is that???

If you mean your comments on peoples songs dissapearing?
That happens when the song is removed. When we delete our songs,,the comments go with them...

Or did you mean forum comments?

Hmmm, it could be that or there is the possibility that you are not correctly logged in.

This happens occassionally.

Your comments are then placed under a mystery guest and I then go through and delete all of those posts.

These "mystery" comments are what some members see in their views as new comments, but when they go to answer them there are none there?!

So make certain that you are logged in properly.

Also, don't save any pages except maybe the homepage of SS to your bookmarks or favorites. This can cause the error also.

Why I am not exactly sure, but it has something to do with the cookie settings??

'Cause when I go back and check.....there are comments from other listeners?

Phil: I think I'm properly logged in, 'cause I can leave comments on other songs,wich is not deletet?
I made a shortcut to SS on my desktop. Could it have something to do with that? But then again, then it's strange I can leave comments at some songs and not on others.....

Also check and see if that person has more than 1 page of comments on their song....they may not be deleted at all...just hiding on page 2

Hi Nicole!

You know the box at the bottom of the page where you type in your comment? The tekst you write there will be saved. So whenever you come back to the song or any song you have made a comment on. Your comment still is in the box at the bottom!!! unless of course the song has been deletet!!!

I want to know if anyone else is experiencing this one!?

There has to be some reason - but at the moment I can't figure it out!

I'm curious Shamran... do you check your comment after you click submit to make sure it took? Perhaps you are getting timed out... that has happened to me... where I have to log back in because I took too dang long.

This same thing has happened on about a half dozen of Kass's comments. I had noticed that she had commented on a string of songs, all by the same singer, but yet there were no comments in their comment boxes.

I asked Kass why she deleted those comments and she said, what are you talking about? I don't delete my comments. She went and looked for herself and seen that they were gone. She couldn't figure it out either.

PS: Phil, the fact that the songs that this happened to, were all consecutive, could possibly be a hint as to what might be causing it or at least possibly eliminate some possibilities.

Hmmm.... sounds like the singers showcase ghost!! I just came across some unclaimed comments... don't ask me how I did that.... but I did! I guess it's a comment page where all of the orphan comments go till they get deleted... they all looked fairly recent because the songs were all fairly recent... am I making any sense?
