" .........rest of us have pretty much adopted a live and let live approach in the interest of expediancy.

On the other hand, arguing about this is more fun than arguing about the other stuff...

Hey Bazza: I know HOW to post pictures, and have known from day one. It just doesn't WORK here, or on the old OKJT either, for that matter. The button doesn't click ( or, I should say that nothing happens when I click on it.)

It may be that the software in my office computer ( the one I use for the forum) is too old. I use a 12 year old Dell Inspiron 1000 Windows XP with no upgrades except IE8 and dial-up here.

Though state of the art at the time, it has 32 Gig hard drive. The scary part is that since I don't do any downloads here it's still half free. I use it for accounting, customer database, and my karaoke book software. That's it.

If you you have any suggestions, feel free. We may argue, but you are a legitimate source of this sort of information, and I would appreciate the help.

Joe, I've written this same post to you three times.

Lets try a fourth! You can do it!

For years you have said "I cant post pics". I am showing you that you CAN, every time. IF you follow the instructions & try. Are you willing to try?

1 - Choose any pic on the web, or locally on your computer.
2 - Go to http://www.TinyPic.com and upload (if local) or path the URL (if on the web).
3 - The website will return several different options. Copy LINK (the one titled FORUM that starts with [ IMG ]
4 - Reply to this post and paste the entire link.
5 - You have just posted a pic!

Gee Bazza, thanks for not reading my post- AGAIN.

I'm not sure what part of " I know HOW to post pictures, and have known from day one. It just doesn't WORK here, or on the old OKJT either, for that matter. The button doesn't click ( or, I should say that nothing happens when I click on it.)"
is difficult to understand, but thanks for telling me what I already know. How about giving me an answer to why clicking does nothing, instead of repeating instructions that I know in my sleep.

Joe,
The directions Bazza gave you are a basic work around for posting a picture without using the forum buttons. Even if the forum button worked for you, you would still be using another site to host your picture.
Click the quote button on a post where a picture was included and you can see the text that made it happen with the link to the picture in between.

The most likely reasons the buttons are not working for you are either an adblocker you are using is blocking the function, or your ancient version of internet explorer is incompatible...perhaps both.

You know what I think will happen to my GEM set? Absolutely nothing. Four FOUR YEARS I have been listening to the GEM panic of the month. "It's a bad business deal!" "It's a waste of money!" "They are going to demand it back!" "They are going to raise the fees!" "They are going to be pirated and FREE!" "SC is going out of business!" "The contract is going to change!" "It's going to be worthless!" "You'll have nothing to show for it!". ' Etc, Etc, ad nausem.

AND.......nothing happens. Nada. Nill. Zilch. Zero.

Meanwhile, the best base set in the business keeps on being used nightly. It has been one of the best investments I have made in my business and paid for itself years ago.

Well, as I said, if the case goes SC's way, you will be dead on right. If not, well, my scenario is equally possible. Listen, this isn't about leasing GEMS or not, it's about WHEN. Buying NOW is pretty much just business stupid. No reason not to wait until the case conclusion, thus eliminating any worries.

AND...there you have it. "Business Stupid" indeed.

I paid in full for a GEM just about 3 weeks ago. I have always held that the possibility of a recall was so remote that I didn't feel it was ever even a possibility.

With the price of aftermarket Sound Choice material continuing to climb, I may consider more.

The only direct seller of the GEM is PEP.

You may be able to find a KJ with a GEM that wants to sell theirs, but you would still have to make arrangements through PEP to transfer the license.

In short, you have to work with PEP on *ALL* GEM licensing.

All resolved for me.

Barb Wheeler from Pep Rocks, called me directly to arrange purchasing options for the Gem Series. I'm quite happy with the friendly staff. I'm looking forward to new products from Pep Rocks in future.

Everyone needs to get this Gem set, It's awesome. :D
