Odd question for you all...I'm trying to get ahold of either online stuff or discs with punk and metal. Like, especially stuff that got very little mainstream attention. Is there a company who specializes in this that I don't know about, or is it available at all?

Thanks a lot...

Most karaoke companies only stay in the main stream music. Usually the stuff that is well known or some companies work strictly off the Billboard charts, so if it didn't chart, chances are you won't see it.
Sound Choice does have a pretty decent Metal selection & you may try some of the UK companies for punk since it always was a little more popular over there. But don't get your hopes up.

it might be easier to answer your question if you define YOUR ideas of punk and metal by listing some artists from each group... those two generalized genres leave it very open to interpretation so if we could have a starting point we might be able to narrow down some manufacturers to look at... -tig
