well I am just a little under 200Lbs (I hover around 190)... closer to 200 when I am training hard... I wear it well... very stocky and muscular... matt would tell ya I am "solid"... it always surprises people when I do security or bodyguard work and they push me and I don't move like they think I should for my size always hurts their feelings the most when the smallest guy in the club, usually, drags em outside and bounces em off a parked car or two... they don't like to play much after that... I will keep on my pop and donut diet just to stay in the right shape for ya hehehhehe

Erica, by the very nature of what they clarified the ranking system

, 7 is a NOT a bad Rank, nor is 8, or 9.

These singers are being spoiled by "perfection" rankings from very kind hearted people... but I believe many of these people are why we have the American Idol rejects that THINK that they're really good, when in reality it's a bit like "ummmm, don't quit your day job just yet!"

Not saying that they're not GOOD, they're just not PERFECT.

I honestly don't know what's so hard to realize on that part!

Here here! Good system. I have heard a couple people in there that I had to laugh when I seen their comments saying how great the performance was when in fact it was barely tolerable. Partly why I haven't subbed anything myself, I want honest crtique, not just fluff. My singing isn't that great but I would never know how to improve if all I got was - THat was GREAT!!!

I will be honest..if you have nothin nice to say..then you shouldnt say anything..it only makes you look bad. truly. I mean voice an opinion about the topic under discussion but to hatefully attack..what little bit i even read..was sad. the people on this site are much better than that. you dont have to agree with anyone..to show respect. sigh..what is happening to singersshowcase..is more and more like that other site everyday

and for the record...

i can critique my subs harder than anyone on this site can..and i would NEVER give me a ten...I KNOW where my mistakes are.....I dont mind less than a TEN..would be nice if the person giving it had the guts to say..hey..kass..u know that second verse..well u really coulda.....and it woulda been much b etter...

I guess I haven't got bored yet-what with such amazing talent some of what rivals the radio - serious! and funny folks too like Bethel Vermin, and several others...the genre of the week keeps things exciting too to hear some people try things they might not have-at a karaoke bar you see people but you don't get to choose what you listen to like on this site-and I don't get nice comments from folks at a bar...they rarely seem to be listening...

i read the other thread...once upon a time..good hearted heated intelligent conversations were a must here..now..they are mainly just silly..or mean..im thinkin thats why allstar meant..and wannabe..

the days before bhb got banned or disappeared ..i really have no clue where he went.... now he could start em hehe..but..they never really got MEAN..the responses were usually well written on topic and producing differing views..

I agree that both Allstar and wannabe have been valuable members.. as is/was BHB and everyone here! But to say... "this place is boring".. hmmmph! I mean... if they are bored ... if there is not ONE person here worth staying for... then I can't blame them! If I felt that way... I'd be long gone too!!! I certainly would have to disagree though... this place is certainly not boring for me! My experience with sites such as this one is that... one thing is for certain...... they are ALWAYS changing! I had left this site previously because it was mostly a kj site ... I really didn't have much to contribute in that area since I am not a kj. I left and found a site that was for singers... and I felt a part of something. I made many good friends there, as I have here! Yes.. there was drama... but there was a close community of people that kept growing and evolving... that site kept changing and it was the people who made the changes (good and bad)... and still are! Mistakes will be made every day and on every site you visit there will be problems. A community is only as good as the people in it... and I still think there are some very good people there! But we all have a different experience of each place we visit. When the Showcase opened... this site started to change again... new people arrived and slooowly started a small singers community..... now with all the new growth... it is changing yet again! It will continue to change every day. It's the nature of the universe and the people in it... everything changes... people will leave... people will arrive.... people will get bored... people will get upset... people will make friends... people will make enemies... people will feel left out ...people will jump right in and not have a problem...just like anywhere in life...there is something for everybody here... and whatever you are (consciously or unconsciously) looking for .... you will find it! If Allstar and wannabe really wanted to stay... they would......
