Are you tired of U.S. karaoke manufacturers telling you what to do and how to do it? Are you tired of all the talk about "piracy", "legality", etc. Are you tired of the industry's antiquated and ridiculous laws about karaoke?

Yes folks, the answer is simple! Do not use a U.S. karaoke manufacturer's discs/downloads. That's right folks. You don't need 'em.

Take a look at this: http://www.zoom-entertainments.co.uk/pa ... turbo-pack

Yes, you can get this from Amazon for around $40. That makes it 262 songs for around 35 cents a piece! And it's by Zoom so you know the quality is there and the song selections are great. Get a Zoom turbo pack for the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Great songs, without the bullshit.

So, the point is, you don't need U.S. manufacturers with all their rules and stipulations and craziness. The UK is so much more advanced than us without the bull.

So, start building your library now. Take advantage of these and others like it, super deals. It's all you need.

Remember there's Zoom, Sunfly, SBI and many others. Go for it. Live life. Enjoy.

The point is you don't have to be at the mercy of the U.S. manu's with all the nonsense.

Alan, this sounds great for the newbie KJ... one who is just starting out, and is looking to get a nice starter library. I just took a look on Amazon.com for Zoom Turbo Pack, and came up with the following:

60's - 262 songs: $44.01 (10 discs)
70's - 203 songs: not available
80's - 192 songs: $94.45 (10 discs)
90's - 188 songs: $38.01 (10 discs)
Male Turbo Pack - 221 songs: $43.21 (10 discs)

Looking further in Amazon, they had listed MP3 Downloads for these, broken up by Volume Numbers (approximately 20 songs per volume) for each of the decades, at $8.99 per volume.

You efforts to provide us so nice and useful information are pretty good. All these tinny details are made with lot of backgound knowledge.

Even if you're an established KJ who's tired of all the BS like I said above. Just sell your CD's and buy the Zoom "packs". It wouldn't take long or much money to put together a very nice library.

Great if starting a moldy oldies show. Except for maybe 4 songs I saw on that 60's list, NONE are songs that actually get sung - ever.

Eloquently put, Lonnie. :) I'm just trying to point out that there are other alternatives and the Zoom Turbo Packs is just one example of building, replacing or adding to your song library at a reasonable cost.

Who are you asking? What background knowledge are you talking about? Most of us here are very familiar with the ZOOM product line. I can assure you that none of us here are "bots," except me.

I think one of the mods put that question in, it's not a typical first post question, but there was not any indication of spamming.
