This is an email I received a few days ago that might explain why you have some crap installed with your Karaosoft/former Latshaw programs:

Karaosoft (formerly Latshaw Systems) customers,

The company name change is complete and here is some important information you will need:

- Facebook users are encouraged to click "Like" on our new company facebook page at
http://www.facebook.com/karaosoft
This is the sole source for all information released about new product releases, iCroons updates, service announcements, and other helpful karaoke related information and news. We no longer email users about updates, and even if you're not a current facebook user, it's a much more efficient way to stay up to date with the businesses and groups you deal with. Not to mention there are a ton of other karaoke related resources all on facebook. Joining facebook doesn't mean you have to use it socially, and you have the ability to "hide" yourself from others view, so it can be used solely as a means to get information. There is already information and a couple posts about the next Karma release on our facebook page, and other information already available. It's also a great place to meet other Karaosoft users.

- Our new web site address is http://www.karaosoft.com
but anyone trying to navigate to Latshaw.com or LatshawSystems.com should automatically be forwarded there.

- All users are encouraged to download and install the latest versions of any of our apps that you use as soon as possible. All have been updated to not only reflect the name change, but also to communicate with our new server with regards to update notifications. Users will NOT be able to activate licenses for older versions and eventually you will be forced to install these new versions, so the sooner you switch over, the sooner you no longer have to worry about a potential future headache. For example, users of our SongBooksLive service can only upload their books with the latest version of Song List Generator. This is something you don't want to find out at the last minute if you're in a hurry before a show.

- Due to the name change and web site change, Google searches for our products under the new name are still low in the results order and hackers and pirates who have already created hacked and infected versions of our products are sometimes listed first. We are working with DCMAforce.com to once again go through the process of using DCMA takedown notifications to Google and other sites to eliminate this, but it will take some time. In the meantime, be aware, and inform others to be careful and to make sure you go directly through our web site to get our software. Not doing so could result in obtaining virus infected versions of our products.

Hoster does all of this and has for several years.
It displays exact times for songs and a exact time for all of the songs cued up. It has one of the best silence removal features that is fully automatic. You only need to alter a start/stop if for some reason you want to. If used properly there is never any dead air time. Singers song ends and fades right into background music.

I cannot or will not bash Siglos because I have never tried it....

Kuleman, i was not trying to bash, and i did get Hoster and Compuhost mixed up for the time. i guess the silence part in Hoster is different that Siglos does it automatically without having to analyze every song beforehand. But if it works it works.
Chris, besides changing the between singer screen each time a new singer gets up, how can you change it? i looked but can't find it, Siglos attaches the screen to the singer like Compuhost attaches a background to a song.
No ick intended here, just kinda riding the features conversation.

That's what I meant by manual and cumbersome.

In Karma I would have to load a background image and disable the Next Singer Display to do the same customizations you do. Too much work for me but not something I would press Latshaw about adding.
