I am curious , over the years with all of the karaoke manufactures who have never licensed their songs or even tried to to any degree. You seem to have a high disdain for a company that did in fact pay royalties. Are you okay with the part of your library where the companies never tried? If so then I really do not see where you have anything to say...

Plus if you did not purchase your library through manufacturers or distributors, you know it's only a matter of time before the third party lawyers that bring these suits for the publisher's turn their attention to the host. And I imagine the host that can't show that they at least thought they purchased there product by legitimate means.........well lets just say I can't wait to see your post when that happens..............

When you're doing stuff just to get a rise out of your "opponents," it's no fun for those of us who are trying to find out what's going on.

The claims against KTS were voluntarily dismissed with prejudice following a settlement with KTS's insurance company. The complaint against SC remains unresolved.

I think we find out more by getting a response from the other side than just relying on that which they choose to tell us. Unless you put them on the spot and try to show that their position has some problems with it, all you are ever going to get from them is the spin. Do you think our government would ever tell us the truth unless there were reporters getting responses from them? Asking probing questions. For example do you think we would ever know that the war in Vietnam was going against us unless we had news coverage? The reason the current wars have dragged on so long is there isn't the same level of raw footage showing the battle night after night. The problem is some have grown so used to accepting anything Jim or Kurt put out without questioning it, that others that have a problem with their version of the truth are just trouble makers. They are invading the karaoke bubble.

The more I look at this situation the more I think it is a no win for SC no matter how it goes. If they lose their image is forever tarnished, if they win it further reinforces the fact that no matter how strong a piracy case is, it is hard to win in court. The best outcome would be an out of court settlement the details being kept secret. Of course Jim could always say the settlement was forced on them by their insurance company.

I think I've been very straightforward in answering questions on this site, when asked. If I can't comment, I say so. So I really don't understand why LR thinks the best way to deal with his lack of information is to make up something in order to force me to "correct the record," instead of simply asking questions.

Well, I understand it. It's because he has a lot of hate in his heart for SC, and what he is doing is what Nixon's CREEP (Committee to Re-Elect the President) used to call "ratf---ing." It doesn't have to be true, in fact it's better if it isn't true, because the purpose is to misinform, not enlighten.

Wow, Lone Ranger, I believe you just displayed how biased you are. Couldn't it be that if Sound Choice wins that it shows that they did license things in a legal manner? But I don't see you throwing that scenario out there.

Probably not, but we don't need your "National Enquirer" version of this information. so maybe it's time to shut your trap unless you have some real facts instead of your piss poor interpretation of other peoples statements on this or any other forum.

I would say the media or the original organization put it in because it sounds so much better than CREP would and gives it a certain slant.

As for LR, I guess he never heard the axiom "It's better to keep your mouth shut and thought a fool than to open it and prove it."

Yes. They filed a motion to that effect, to try to prevent the insurance company from settling.

It's Easy to take shots at someone like him. He was absolutely worthless when he was on this forum. In fact, he was the Jerry Springer of this forum (constantly stirring the Sh#t in the pot). My opinion of Chip was common among many people on this forum (Which is probably why he was banned in the first place) and he is a good example of this sort of Crap. It's not my fault that he pissed off so many people that he got banned.

I rarely put in my 2 cents in this forum, but LR acts more and more like Chip everyday that he is here and I'm Probably not the only one who thinks so.

Piss off if you don't like my opinion of your husband. He made his reputation. Now he has to live with it. The same will eventually be true of LR if he doesn't stop making unsubstantiated statements in this forum.

You mean much the same way that "he who shall be named" brings me up in the Old Jolters Forum on Facebook? Not to mention that he posts inaccurate information and assumptions as well.

The difference is that I left the Old Jolters forum on my own instead of getting the boot and I don't feel I need to ask to re-join just to correct his misinformation. I also don't have anyone popping in on my behalf to do it for me.
