after all this time I doubt sound choice is going to start making music again IMO...un less it download but even then nothing will stop people from sharing music. plus the fact that they would be so far behind in new releases. I really don't se it happening would I like them to return..yes

I want them to return with a modern distribution system and relevant, current music. But even the existing US based karaoke companies aren't providing that. The overseas manufacturers that aren't hindered by the draconian copyright restrictions are years ahead of the game.
I would like to buy American, but they have to be selling something I want and can use.

I would love to see SC be able to sell individual songs also. I find with the two US companies that do sell that way I buy more and more often just because of getting carried away with the instant gratification factor--and being able to fill singer's requests quickly.
Unlike some who think it is a manu conspiracy, I do also believe it is the publishers that are causing the hang up.

I would love to see them come back with some new songs and of course a better recording Everything they ever did now sounds way too compressed and are much inferior than what Zoom, KV and Paris Music are producing lately

I read somewhere that if and when Sound Choice ever resumes making new music, they will only be selling it to certified hosts. According to their own declarations, 90 percent of all hosts(50,000) are pirates. That leaves Sound Choice with only 5,000 potential customers and that is only if those 5,000 potential customers pay up for an audit for the privilege of being allowed to purchase these "phantom" songs. Maybe the promise of new songs will promote sales too?

They don't, they only make TOP QUALITY PROFESSIONAL BACKING TRACKS but with Mini Lyrics, it's not an issue They have this LIVE sound that makes you sound as if you were singing with a band!

For someone like me (one who doesn't make their own custom made word-swipes) that doesn't mean much to me then.

I checked out their web site. It was not set up well. They didn't have a separate new release section. They didn't have any Springsteen songs that aren't already available on karaoke either.

do i want soundchoice to start producing music again? Yes.
Do I think they will - Based on what Mr. Harrington has posted - not very likely
well it would be bad for the people who have jobs now, but the best move for soundchoice would to be completely move the company out of the US and set up shop permanently in the UK, sell their catalog to a company like tricerasoft, and watch the money start rolling in.
There is a reason that Itunes is a billion dollar industry. Because the music producers finally figured out, that the way to combat piracy is to make its as easy as possible for people to buy the songs they want.
No one wants to buy an album of 15 songs to get the one song they want and with the technology available, they shouldn't have to.
just my two cents

-James This might be a viable direction to consider, given the issues they seem to be experiencing here, from a past AND future production standpoint, except there seems to be some resistance domestically on the allowance of international downloads...

At the Las Vegas DJ Show they announced a joint venture with DigiTrax, DigiChoice. A premium Karaoke Cloud Pro.

When we first heard of Digitrax (shortly after the demise of ChartBuster Karaoke), it was stated that SC would join with them as one of the Manufacturers whose tracks would be released by DT. Then there was talk that SC wanted to charge a premium (higher amount) for their tracks over the other Manufacturer's tracks, and they dropped out (or were dropped out) of the DT arrangement.

Not much more to say. At the Las Vegas DJ Show, September 2013, at the end of the karaoke meeting Sound Choice and DigiTrax announced they were working on a joint venture, DigiChoice. It would be a premium karaoke cloud service for $199 per month.
