Dont want to upset anyone on this but I would like to hear some response on this (Possible Future Change). I can confirm that I recived an email a short while ago and replyed with views and great interest in dropping the amount of sub uploads.

People we'll have to try something different if it means losing the friends and company that we have made on the site. I really look farward to finishing my work and choirs to get here to the friends I've made.

Lets try something different before its to late.

now i know ive been asleep in the bath for half an hour till i woke up with shrivelled fingers and toes and dying of hypothermia...hang on waffling here....where and when did this re appear.....i tell ya these peeps messing wif ma head lmaooooo i know ive lost the plot now

oh and my question was answered and i requested the last thread to be deleted once i had my answer....ok phil advised that they are working on changes...it does take time ...which is fair enough...sooo hopefully some time soon there may be a little compromise that will i dunno perhaps slow the front page down which will then enable more listeners and comments and hopefully a little peace and calm amongst people

I think that Phill has had a very busy day with answering PM's etc with members concerns about everything that has come up recently. It'd kinda be a nice thought to give the man some time to respond as (Keep In Mind) He does this for free! He's the designer for the site, and that is what he gets paid for..not answering questions or dealing with members personal problems...

In addition, i'm sure he's got a real life too Karaoke Scene and Singers Showcase is a business..maybe they oughtta put out a "We'll respond within 24-48 hour disclaimer" just to cover their butts if they're busy one day

There have been a lot of new change ideas put out on the table...probably a lot to go through and sort out...patience is a virtue

One thing I would like to note is the minor adjustment that has been made!

Daily Submissions: All paid members are now limited to 2 submissions per day.

This doesn't effect our Plus members who already had only 2 and can have up to 10 submissions @ 4 MB archived.

Changed however are:
Deluxe members can now archive up to 30 (previously 25) submissions @ 5 MB!

Premium members can now archive up to 60 (previously 40) submissions @ 7 MB!

About two weeks ago, I sent out an email polling our Paid members (at the time) requesting their feedback.

Plus members 99% agreed (Doesn't suprise me, it didn't effect them!) ;)
Deluxe Members - 97% agreed
Premium Members - 98% agreed

Therefore based on the results - it was decided that to enhance the site we would implement the change.

I know some have sent me PMs and emails asking why?

Currently, on the main page (which is going to be changed - along with some other items...) all submissions are displayed. Many times we will see several submissions by the same member in a row. Unfortunately what happens is only one or two of the submissions are actually listened to by the members or visitors. Also, it becomes overwhelming for people to see so many submissions.

After you listen and leave a comment/rank on a song you are sent to the submitters profile (this is done in order to update their profile with the info just submiited.) There you can see all their submissions. You may then select to listen to another of their submissions.

Also, if you click on a members name or do a search for a member you are taken to their profile, where again you see all their submissions.

I have increased the quantity of songs archived thereby being of a greater benefit to the Deluxe & Premium Members!

ok i am a paid member so where was mine????

secondly i do browse the rest of the forum...and you had put that thread with very little info or change in my opinion ...that is why i asked where were the changes....you see the problem is the threads got out of control and deleted where members expressed simular views to mine above.

and your probably gonna now say because i am not a delux or super delux paid member just a bog standard one....which in that case i may just argue the point should not all members paid and non paying have a choice and a say?

anyways....at least whatever happens its 2 subs a day which hopefully might ease the amount of subs on the front page and will allow people time to listen and comment.

oh and i am not really an impatient person...no-one is leaving the site today who i really want to stay so i can wait 24-48 hours for a reply

Well, with regards to the changes - Standard members were not sent the email because their status wasn't going to be changed at all. Standard (Free) Members are allowed only 1 submission per day @ 3MB and can archive up to 5 submissions.

BTW - I did send you an email?! It was sent to your msn address on Oct 26th. You may need to check your MSN settings to be certain that you can receive emails from me.

In fact, anyone with an email adress with AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Hotmail, and there maybe others - please check that your emails are not being deleted or placed in a SPAM or Bulk folder. Sometimes, because of the mass amount of emails that are sent through our site, it is mistaken thought to be SPAM.
