The entire collected 'work' of Bob Seger and George Thoroughgood.

Most of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Well, almost anything in the category of "The Blues".

Smashmouth, Sugar Ray, and Counting Crows.

In truth, my list in this category could go on for quite some time; I have a very short musical attention span.

Definitely Picture by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow, any and all of the Grease Soundtrack songs, and anything sang by more than 4 off-key, tone deaf, young drunk girls... :bawling:

Well, one advantage of doing things the way that we do is that those songs will rarely have any strong resemblance to the original. We will bastardize them excessively. And shame you on the mic. 8)

We're just messing with each other. I attend their monthly show, so I was implying I would purposely sing songs to bother him.

In live band karaoke, the band can determine how each song is performed.

Same here, although their quality of singing takes the back burner as far as my attention is focussed!

Dirty old man......................LMAO!!

Actually, it's the slow country stuff that the older people sing, like Neon Moon, El Paso, and songs like that. They just bring a show right down.

I resemble that remark :D ,, let me ask you a question smooth,, would you rather listen to someone sing a slow song well, or hear them butcher an upbeat song? Not everyone is able to sing the fast stuff or rock. We sing what we are comfortable with and our abilities allow. I have seen countless times when a slow song done well will bring down the house. It's not "all" about getting crazy ya know.

Why the interrogation?? I am answering the question of the OP. Fast songs get butchered, slow songs get butchered. It's all about fun, not singing talent, but yes, I would rather a butchered fast song than some old boring country song.

If I was having a ballad hell night, I fully agree!

If it came down to either a butchered slow song, or a butchered upbeat song, I would agree that its all about having fun, and the upbeat song wins. But karaoke doesn't mean that only upbeat songs need be sung, or about 'talent',,it's about enjoying your 3-4 minutes on stage. And it's a good thing we all have our different likes in music. I for one, enjoy country tunes, as well as classic rock. Heck I even like the new music of today.

But, when it comes to the OP "what songs are you tired of hearing?",, I wouldn't want to have a song stuck in my head of some crazy drunk lunatics screeching ANY song, whether it's country, ballad hell, OR rock. I find my tolerance level for bad singing is quite forgiving,, but my tolerance for bad or out of control attitudes much less.

There are a few songs that I just plainly don't like for whatever reason, or hear WAY too often,, some of them have been mentioned already. Would I ever ask someone to not sing a song that fit either of those 2 categories??? nope,, MY personal feelings don't play into their choices. And I don't believe any of us on here would either. But I would MUCH rather hear a song done well, slow or fast, rather than one that just sang for "fun sake"
