Yes tim I did call them, their phone is not disconnected and they are taking messages, also they have a place to email and fax. They are still in business and posted on the internet, so much for the running and hiding. If you don't believe me why don't you call them?

Having a VM and an email doesn't mean you can reach them.

I think as an individual not suing the company it might be easier to reach them Mr. Boo. Naturally if the company is being sued they would want to channel all legal issues through their lawyers. The point is they are not hiding and are out there running their business.

Unlike you. I'm not that interested and second have they responded to your call/fax/e-mail? And BTW how are they going to know if a phone call is about being sued? Are they clairvoyant?

The point is tim they are not hiding out, or out of business, if they were they would take their website down and not be advertising they are conducting classes. If they really wanted to keep a low profile they would do everything they could not to be out here in the market place. Just like it was said by Jim they couldn't find Donna Boris, an attorney in business is not going to be able to be located, yeah right.

Do you have any idea how many businesses that go out of business just turn the lock and leave, not informing the landlord, utilities, their own employees etc. Phones could be active up to three months before the phone company shuts it off. The same goes for power and gas. And sometimes they don't even lock the door.

Well, the alternative is to buy your tracks from SBI, Sunfly or Zoom. They don't have this nonsense that we do. And they don't do what U.S. manufacturers do. And they don't treat KJ's like s**t. And they don't use lawsuits to make money.

Can I legally use your karaoke tracks as a DJ or venue?
We are aware that certain other companies have different policies but our policy is clear. If you are using a download that was purchased legally from ourselves or our legitimate agents and/or partners, we grant personal use in the same way as it would be granted if you purchased a physical CD or DVD. This being in Europe, United States or anywhere else in the world.

Personal use includes use professionally as a KJ or at a venue if you or the purchaser is the venue or the proprietor of the venue.

Happened to me once. Did a show, we normally picked up equipment in the morning. Come to find doors were locked, out of business sign on door. Manager couldn't get ahold of the owner, their employees didn't even know as they were showing up for work shortly after I got there. Was finally able to get in to get our stuff a little later. Turns out they were shut down for failing to pay taxes. Lucky I was able to get back my stuff at all.

The falling out between APS and SC has been more the 3 months ago tim. APS has been in business since 1995 and as far as I can tell they still are. I'm sure if we dug a little bit we would see the Donna Boris is still a lawyer, I've heard nothing about her being disbarred. SC has made a big deal about suing their former employees, and nothing more has been said about it for months now. It would seem it is business as usual for them while the legal process drags on.

Who's Clair Voyant? I thought Lone Ranger was calling APS. Is Clair their Secretary?

Laugh all you want to guys, I don't see Jim coming on here anymore saying he is unable to contact the defendants in his suit concerning APS and Donna Boris.

Did it ever occur to you that Harrington doesn't have to tell us anything at all? He is not obligated to tell us anything at all.

I wrote Kurt an email way back when I first came to these forums giving praise and kudos to Harrington for coming to the forums and responding at all. Think what you wish about Harrington, he takes a crap load of heat from the community here. He doesn't have to be here.

I also find it amusing that several people have said not to trust what Harrington says about Sound Choice because he works for them. Yet when he is absent, people take notice.

I believe what you really want is to (@$%&#!) and moan for the sake of bitching and moaning. You will do it whether Harrington is active or not. But, you want Harrington here so you have a sparring partner. When he isn't, you want to know why not. When he doesn't respond, you make up stuff in an attempt to get him to chime in on the conversation.

I'm surprised Jim spends as much time as he does on these forums, since he is a practicing attorney and has so many cases. Unless his total practice is just made up of SC and it's legal process. There must be a lot of down time between court appearances. I know the wheels of justice turn slowly. How much of a sparing partner could Jim be for me, since he is supposed to be so right and above all of us. He would knock me out the first punch right?

That would make him like Bruce Cutler, Gotti's old attorney. Fitting too, with a Civil RICO case against Kurt.
