I am DJ/MCing the world's largest cornhole tounament in Orlando this Saturday. There are supposed to be about 200-300 participants!
Because of the sheer size of the gig, I have to take my large setup, most of which is permanently installed at my karaoke venue. I'm also spending all night tonight tidying up the wiring and outside of the rig.
Anyway, I'll be sure to take some equipment pics!

So Jas is that a "Karaoke" monitor in the middle or does your band just sing along to lyrics on the screen or WTF mate?

It's a monitor system they designed that has the lyrics for the singer. It works pretty well, from a notoriously bad singer's perspective. Their group owns my fourth Friday of every month--I literally design my schedule around their gigs so I don't miss one.

It's not a "Karaoke" monitor in the traditional sense. We don't use any "bouncing ball" functionality. If we did, the band would have to follow some kind of timecode or click track. Each song is broken into several pages, and the bass player has "page up" and "page down" pedals that control the prompters. This is a bit more comfortable than handing singers a printed sheet of lyrics, and still keeps the music in charge. The band DOES sing along; we love harmonizing. It is a pretty far departure from what most people consider "Karaoke", but that's kind of the point.

So its a BAND-KARAOKE system. Interesting approach. I've used song sheets so I'm used to that way...sheet lyrics on screen would be a new experience.
