I have to ask this to a community that intimately understands when a song makes you cringe the moment you hear the title. Not because its a bad song or you know it takes an accomplished singer to pull off - because you know its one of those tunes that should have never been made into a Karaoke track.
My pick: "Stairway to Heaven"
What's yours?

I think most everyone would agree that Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow - Picture ranks very highly on the "cringe scale". Mine would be The Oak Ridge Boys - Elvira,,, I can't run fast enough to the bathroom!!!

Good pick! I just did "Picture" a few months ago (by request) and was cringing the entire time. I felt dirty...

My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. Not too many can pull it off successfully. They’ll start great, nice voice & all. Key change at the end when the note goes higher - always a cringe factor for me. Love the song tho’. I think it’s one of her finest songs.

Colour My World by Chicago. 1 min of great piano ballad, 1 min of verse singing, followed by another 1 min piano/flute instrumentation to the end of the song. Cringeworthy moment when the singer look at me like – hey what happened to the rest of the song? (I didn't know there's more)

I hear Picture so few times, it's not anything I cringe at. SNUFF - Slipknot is my #1 cringer at this time. It's literally been the number one most sung song at my show since Nov last year.

the same type of singers every time....a group of 3-5 40+ professional business ladies who think they are 18 who know nothing except "Earl had to die" at the top of their lungs. :bawling:

At a Medium Pace - Adam Sandler.

When I print new books, that disk is going to be "broken".

You Never Even Called Me By My Name. Six minutes of utter yawn, utterly overdone, rarely done well.

Even worse than The Rose....

BABY GOT BACK.

One in one hundred can pull it off. The other 99 say the first line and then mumble in shock as the words fly by at 60mph.

I used to really hate the long songs (Hotel California, Paradise By The Dashboard Lights, etc) but then I took smoking up and use those songs to escape for a smoke.

I'd say my least favorite karaoke song is one that fortunately isn't done too often: "Hell Is For Children".

I support everyones song even if they suck Azz.

There ARE singers in their appearance that makes me cringe though

I cringe everytime a female puts up Paradise By The Dashboard Lights and asks "Can you sing it with me?". I can pull it off but I don't like singing it.

Picture is another that they ask me to sing with them that makes me cringe. I actually don't mind hearing it, I just don't like singing it.

I like Stairway to Heaven, it just isn't a high energy song.

Picture gets sang at almost every show I do. PBDL is picking up speed at my shows.

Not sure I have a cringe song. Nothing jumps out at me.

I do have a singer that can pull the old rap off, needs no lyrics and I've never heard him stumble including Baby Got Back. Otherwise,,, yeah it's ugly when someone can't keep up so they mumble, or just wait for the chorus.

takes a lot to make me cringe i suppose.

But hypocrisy and people with blinders on in denial of certain "quoted 'truths'" makes me cringe instantly :o

Hypokryptonite; the name calling that is resorted to when governments are questioned lol!

oops...am i trolling too?

Meatloaf - any but especially for crying out loud.

None of his songs bother me, but my core audience despise anything Jim Steinman touched (No Matter What being the exception but that's probably everyone thinks is was a Boyzone song). The only ones who enjoy them are the ones who sing them, everyone else smokes, pulls faces or turns their backs on the singer to loudly continue with their conversations.

Not such a big deal anymore but when I first started Karaoke you could not go to a show without hearing this song. I just am not a fan of any Bette Midler songs "Wind beneath my wings" But I can tolerate them. But The Rose will make me cringe.
