I would love to be able to do this song for my mother called On the wings of Mommas prayer by Jeff Bates but it hasn't been released on Karaoke and I don't think it will because i don't think it will make the radio but god it is a beautiful song, I have tried some of the vocal removers out there but none have done an acceptable job, any other route you guys can give me would be great. Thanks

Thanks anyway anyone who took the time to read my question reading other post I now realize ( by reading similar post) short of having a band perform the music for the song I'm out of luck thanks, anyway.

It's not that good, but as a last ditch effort you could look for a kar file. Kar files are used with a midi player and produce the words on the computer screen. The music quality isn't the best in the world (it's 100% computer produced) but for something like this where you want to do a song for your mom it might be a reasonable alternative to hiring a band.
Even if you managed to convince a karaoke house to record the song it would still be a number of months before the song became available.

I'm not familiar with this particular song, but maybe you could have some musician friends lay down the tracks for you...

You could also try looking for a .mid file, as KM said, the quality isn't great, but it might be ok for what you need... there are midi sites out there that will make custom .mid files for a small fee (I think about $5, if I remember correctly) and on some of them, the quality's pretty good for a computer generated track.
Might be worth looking into...

You can take this for what it's worth.
Here's what I would do:
First I would forget about any techinological wizardy that promises the moon. I wouldn't even use the vocal reducer found on my karaoke player.
I would simply turn up the mic gain and sing over the orignal vocals.
This would make the orignal vocal behave like a chorus effect.
Good Luck!
