IM SORRY I KNOW UR TIRED OF HEARIN THIS I REALLY DO..BUT LOOKING AT THE FRONT PAGE IS BECOMING TO OVERWHELMING. I KNOW WE CAN SEARCH GENRE..BUT THATS JUST NOT HELPING. WHAT IF..AND I KNOW WRITING SCRIPTS IS NOT AN EASY TASK ..WHAT IF..

PER DAY...EACH PERSONS ACTUAL NAME WOULD ONLY SHOW UP ONCE. THERE COULD BE A NUMBER SUCH AS (6) NEXT TO IT TO SHOW THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE SUB. PEOPLE COULD CLICK ON THAT NUMBER TO SEE ALL THE SUBS AND LISTEN..BUT THEIR NAME ISNT TAKING UP THE WHOLE PAGE. IT IS ONLY TAKIN UP ONE LINE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S.

PAYING MEMBERS PAY TO GET THE PRIVALEGE TO SUB MORE THAN ONE SONG A DAY ..AND THEY DESERVE THAT RIGHT. BUT IF YOU COULD CONDENSE IT SOMEHOW..THEIR NAME STILL SHOWS..THEY STILL GET TO SUB WHAT THEY WANT..AND WE JUST HAVE TO GO ONE CLICK FURTHER TO LISTEN TO ALL THEIR SONGS..

I DO GOOD TO GET TO LISTEN TO ONE SONG A DAY FOR ANY ONE PERSON MUCH LESS THREE TO SIX..THERE JUST IS NO WAY I HAVE TIME.


NOTE: THE NUMBER WOULD SIMPLY LINK TO THE MEMBERS PROFILE SO ALL SONGS WILL BE LISTED AT ONCE.

phil mentioned he's been looking into alternative ways, even limiting to two subs a day. I think that's a very valid and quite fair way to look at it.

That is how this works now. If you click on the member's screen name, it will take you to the member's profile where all their subs are listed. So if you see a multiple user submission, just select their name once and voila... there you are right where you want to be.

I love that idea Kass as I like to go thru the complete list of submissions from some of my favorites to catch up if I havent had any listening time for a few days. It gets so shuffled it becomes hard to find your favorites without clicking on their names from comments.

Seems to me it would solve alot of problems....even the subs per day, which some folks cannot control due to days off, etc. Might even make the front page slow back down and load faster..I would think it would certainly make for less pages, logically...

Don't know what the possibilites are for that happening, but I think it's an excellent idea!!!

That is true Jr. but with Kass' idea your name wouldn't need to be listed 5-8 times if you got submission happy somedays. Tho folks don't usually have time to listen to so many in one day anyway..

I think that's an awesome idea, kass!! That way we can still see the variety of singers on one page........rather than seeing the same name a hundred times (ok ok i exaggerate). If you're a real big fan of that person... click on the name (or the number thing) and get the rest of 'em. Maybe just have their last sub, or they're first visible on the list.

when i was a payin member i chose my package according to what i preferred and i would have been one grumpy little girl if someone had decided that i had to change it..but some people dont care bout that stuff

my poiint is..when you click on ur internet explorer..and you open up to the page...its my homepage actually..and you see four names six times..and you have to go to page two to find names you know..and love listening too...its frustrating...i have to sort through to see the dates etc...if we have 75 subs per day..and the name shows up ONCE on the page..then we can go down the list and find things easier..i will b e honest

friend or not..best on the site or not..i dont have time to listen to three or ten of anyones subs.. ..i just dont..so if u have three i find the title i like and listen to it..

i know phill has been workin on this its why i apologized..but i still think that it is an important issue..cuz i know many mention to me privately that the front page is really starting to frustrate them..and turn them off..

there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many amazing voices on this site..wonderful personalities..and creative minds subbing every single day..everyone should get a chance to get heard. i am fortunate that ive been here long enough i have a nice group of people who faithfully listen to my subs...and I THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. i can get 20 comments easily..but what about the new person who gets 3 cuz their sub is pushed to page two before most of us get home from work?

anyhow.its JUST a suggestion or idea..which..is why someone gave us a forum..

LATELY WITH ALL THE CONFUSION MY EASIEST WAY TO FIND PEOPLE IS TO CLICK ON THEIR NAME FROM THE COMMENTS ON MY OWN SUBS..NOW THATS NOT FAIR TO OTHERS...THAT I WANT TO LISTEN TO BUT ITS THE FASTEST AND EASIEST WAY..AND SOMETHIN I HAVE RECENTLY FOUND AS THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET THE MOST LISTENS IN DURIN A LIMITED TIME FRAME...

POOR PHILL..WE JUST KEEP GIVIN HIM IDEAS..BUT I HOPE ONE DAY ONE WILL ACUALLY WORK COLLECTIVE MINDS GOTTA LOVE IT!

and if the submission date/time changes and their 1 name is rotated to the top you will still be able to tell what are the newest submissions of the day.... with the front page now showing 75 submissions, it could then show 75 seperate members with their latest subs just a click on their name away... that is alot of members on the front page and if ya figure 1 space could handle a person subbing 3 or 4 songs per day and still allow their names to be on the front page... since it is a large group of repeat subbers the names won't change alot on the front page, occasionally a scattered newby will float thru the listing but the turnover rate won't be quite as fast as it is now... anyways... some good thoughts..-tig

Yes, I know exactly what the message here is. And I agree the "Front Page" is super busy. However, I don't see where the number of submissions by one person obligates any given member to listen to all, or any of them for that matter. Which is what is implied here and in the original message.

How does merely being visible (up to the numer of submissions allowed) detract from a member's ability to choose?

"I Am, Therfore You Listen"..??? Not from this guy.

So what is the real message here? Some members want it even more convenient than it already is. As I previouisly mentioned we already have that feature by clicking on a members name. So what's the problem?

because.....if you have a slow computer like myself....and I know many others do as well.....it takes FAR too much time to click to the previous page (if there are some there we've missed)... ALSO...... even if u stay on the first page..... If you only have 2 or 3 minutes to squeeze a listen in ........ It takes longer than that just to scroll down to find that singer or that song you're lookin for. without trippin over the same name 40 times. Know what I mean??

We're not whining or complaining.. Yes we love this site and we think it's very convenient...... however.. feedback is necessary on any website, doncha think? I'm sure Phill and other moderators appreciate good ideas like Kass's. WIth so many other similar websites out there (so I've heard) It makes their site the BEST that it can be! (even though we know it's allready the best)

Jr. when I first started here I subbed 5 a day...(just what I had paid for) I was so excited I could not contain myself and no, that was not meant the way you took it...It happens alot with new folks....Then after we run out of stored songs we have to create new recordings to post which usually takes time and we slow down alot...

The whole point here is with less mentions of the same name on the front page the new posters and posts would have front page priority longer, therefore be more easily found...If you recall I listened to most all your songs the day you started posting....and commented so please don't presume to put words in my mouth I didn't really say or mean, maybe I said it wrong. Sure wasn't tying to dig at anyone.... but, I am sure you will see that at times folks will get more attention on one than you (not u, just anyone) might get if you (anyone) subbed a bunch at once......When I am available to listen, I often listen to whole lists of subs by folks I like to hear...that is not unusual for me, cuz days when I work I cannot listen nearly as much and play catch up when I am off... I am a peace lovin woman and do not come here to argue or rile people up by being ugly, so don't peg me there...thanks...

Sometimes I can only sing or post 1 or 2 days a week, other weeks are different...we all have our unique situations, because we all have lives besides just this......and we all love to sub and listen, folks just trying to think of ways to make it all run best for all of us.
