I was wanting to know guys if many of you use tricerasoft for downlaoding new karaoke songs? I starting using it and it looks legit. Was just wanting to check because I ve heard you should have a disc generally for every song that you have, but with these legal download sites isn't it ok to just have your proof of purchase receipt? I would hate to have to custom disc everything..

KJ's should follow my wife's suggestion and check with PRS on the legality of use for those overseas tracks and decide for yourself. Never take the work of a salesman trying to see you product. Here's the link to PRS. http://www.prsformusic.com/Pages/default.aspx

I have used them for a very long time.. They used to have some questionable tracks but has since cleaned up their act.

The only claims to have a direct license from the music producers, and given the trouble he could get into for lying about that, I have no reason to doubt him.

In my opinion, as long as you can prove you bought the track, you should be just fine

heres a thought....
if someone in the UK buys an eagles song from Sunfly on CDG disc, Glenn Frey gets 10 cents by MCPS (or whatever his cut is)
if someone in the UK buys an eagles song from Sunfly on download, Glenn Frey gets 10 cents by MCPS (or whatever his cut is)
if someone in the US buys an eagles song from Sunfly on CDG disc, Glenn Frey gets 10 cents by MCPS (or whatever his cut is)
if someone in the US buys an eagles song from Sunfly on download, Glenn Frey gets 10 cents by MCPS (or whatever his cut is)
to use that track in a venue in the UK, PRS gets paid (which happened with the MCPS payment) who pays Glenn again.
to use that track in the US, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC gets paid (on top of the MCPS payment already made) who pays Glenn again.

not to mention that the directors of PRS For Music (MCPS and PRS joined together into one entity) are
Paul Curran (BMG Music Publishing)
Jane Dyball (Warner/Chappell Music Publishing)
Crispin Evans (Universal Music Publishing International)

just some information

I use their cdg ripper, song book creator, Karaoke player, and their Karaoke downloads. They have excellent support.
