www.Karaokecloudplayer.com is the site to sign up for the home version of PCDJ's player which gives the home person the ability to look lke the pro's. How many Pro's are going to use this instead of the original cloud service? $19.95 a month verses $99 or $199 a month.
Yeah they will be limited to what the cloud has to offer.

My guess is very few pros will sign up. I downloaded the Player and could not find a way to import my own tracks into it. But I also had a number of errors with the app that caused it to crash multiple times.

It's indeed a consumer focused player, and the terms and conditions state for home/private use only. it's a SaaS, so you can't use the software and songs without subscription - and you can't use your own music.

Chris, when did you download it? It's just a stripped down version of Karaoki, but I do know the first upload had some errors that have since been addressed (we were originally working from older code that required updating). It's important that when you install (if it's win7) that you disabled UAC (user account control) - UAC seems to prevent some of the .net library stuff we install with the app from properly registering within windows and thus causes issues at times. We recommend the same for Karoaki. Windows 8 doesn't seem to create the issue however!

I downloaded it the morning of my post. I was running on a Win 8 system and don't believe it was a UAC issue. I don't recall the errors I was receiving but will be happy to download and test again when I get back home next week.
