As some KJ's do I DJ from time to time , parties . weddings, birthdays ..you name it. Being that like many I love to sing I usually sing some songs when I DJ ..crowd usually likes its Anyway from time to time I get requests to sing songs I do not know by HEART so I'm forced to look at the 13 in TV I usually bring in anyway for the words...
Long Story short I'm looking for a little individual video monitor that won't be to noticiable on my DJ table. Vocopro put;s out a nice looking unit , but I won't purchase their products if I can help it
Anyone using or have seen such a unit TV or Monitor ..with A/V plugs of course ?

Rat Shack used to have little 5" monitors. Magnavox used to have a 5", I have 2 in my system as cue monitors, but I think they were discontinued.

you can find little "travel" black and white tvs that have a radio built in. I got a couple from walgreens, for $25... then found them even cheaper somewhere else!
Look for automobile accessories. They usually come with dual power accessories... one for the 12V cigarette lighter, and another for 120volt normal "house" current.
The ones I have came with a mono audio hook up and of course, the yellow video.

Matt, Maybe your power source is more consistant than mine.
In my apt I get digital voltage readings between 125 - 130 depending on the time of day or night. At my gig its 113 - 115.
Regardless of the variety of volts, Those mini B/W's are made for the landfill.

Try searching google for 5" lcd tv. Prices are in the $150 range for most vendors.

I've never yet had to check the actual voltage to see how it really comes out. I have a third TV I have at home that I do the same thing on my computer (farm out the video to the portable tv sitting next to it)... it's hooked up thru a power strip... never had any issues!
Sorry about your woes... that SUCKS!

you should look into some LCD screens. The raw ones sell for fairly cheap if u know how to wire them up. The prebuilt ones will run u around 150 to 1k depending on what size you want. A 5" would probally cost you around 150 to 200. I would suggest you get a 7" because you can actually read on it. I installed a 7" screen in my gfs car and u can easily read subtitles. Hope this helps.

I have a small black & white "travel" TV that works just fine with one exception...
It's rather difficult to see the color change, (go figure).
On some disks the color change is of a lower contrast than others, i.e. on some disks the color change is hard to see, and on others it's next to impossible.
If you don't need the color change, it's a moot point, but if you do it's something to consider.
Good Luck!

Thanks! ..I've been doing my share of surfing and searching and for my purpose I might go with a little B&W TV , I don't need the color change as most know ..If you follow that when singing ...You'll get lost . The portable DVD players ... a good idea , A little to $$$ for my application right now.
Thanks Again
