As per Gretchen's request (since the previous topic thread of the same name (in the Legalities Section) has become hijacked...

Gretchen, I just purchased the downloads for both Red and Red Vol. 2 from the KC site (@ 14.99 each). I had no problem with the downloads. They were sent to me in a ZIP File, which contained an MP3G and a CDG file for each of the 20 songs. I moved the files into a folder on my Desktop, and converted the ZIP Files to BIN Files, so that I could burn them to discs (using my Goldenhawk program)... As I have stated before, I am an ODB (Only Disc Based) KJ.

The question I have is regarding my receipt for the purchase. I received an e-mail receipt, which just contained an invoice number. There is nothing in that receipt (if I needed to show it to anyone for verification) that indicates I purchased these 2 discs (which I now created), or the song titles that were contained within those purchases. Who would I need to talk to to obtain such an itemized document?

If you go into your account you can see your purchased history.

Gretchen, I logged into Karaokecloud.com. I clicked on the icon that said PURCHASED, and it came up empty. I then clicked on the link that said ACCOUNT, and it brought me to a page that is labelled ACCOUNT SETTINGS. At the bottom of that page, there is a section that says PAYMENT HISTORY. It shows my Credit Card payment method with just the last 4 digits of my card displayed, and an option to REMOVE. Next to that REMOVE icon, is a small Hyperlink that says VIEW BILLING HISTORY. When I hyperlink into that, all it shows is the following:

Date........Amount.... Method..........Description
12/17/2012 $14.99 Credit Card: #### Downloads
12/17/2012 $14.99 Credit Card: #### Downloads

There is nothing within that information that lists what exactly I purchased. There is no mention of Red or Red Vol. 2, or the itemized listing of the 20 song titles/tracks which I purchased. Now, maybe my receipt (which has an inventory number) may be good enough for your company (DigiTrax) to see if they ever want me to prove I purchased these tracks from you, but if some independent Venue or other entity wants me to show proof that I didn't just burn these discs off of some other site illegally, those inventory numbers are meaningless.

Footnote: I just responded to your PM with the info you requested.

Here's what I got:

Order Number Date Ordered Format Purchase Total Get Details
49379 12/17/2012 MP3G $14.99 List Items
49378 12/17/2012 MP3G $14.99 List Items

And when I click on List Items:

Bundle Name............ In The Style Of ......... Genre
HOTM 2012 November Taylor Swift Taylor Swift Country

Bundle Name............ In The Style Of ........Genre
RED 2 ITSO Taylor Swift Taylor Swift Country

Since I had to download the content to my desktop, and then create a new file so that I could burn it to 2 discs (for both my personal and professional use), if someone looks at that and is not familiar with Taylor Swift's album, they might think I just threw any Taylor Swift songs onto those 2 discs.

That's a little better, but I wish the receipt would list everything on 1 page that could be printed out with all the information together... purchase date, purchase price, invoice number, itemization of purchase (Track Listing of downloaded content purchased).

That is correct. As long as you have the bundle name we have what songs are included. If you need the song lists I can email them to you.

Thank you for the offer, but I already have the song list. It's just a matter of, since we're dealing with downloaded tracks, I feel that the Sales Receipt should reflect the actual content purchased (all on one page with no hyperlinks).

I will try it on this thread: Gretchen, I was looking for "No Matter What" on the download site. I found two versions. How am I supposed to know which version is which without samples or more product info?? Thanks.

We are working on the manu columns now. We are hoping to have them implemented asap.

Gretchen, let me ask (on Smoothedge's behalf)... There are 2 versions of "No Matter What" listed in the KC site. Could you please reveal which manufacturer brand is associated with version number 1 and 2?

Right now the only way to know is to purchase the song or sign up for KC+ for $9.99.

As I stated earlier, that is one of the main things we are working on right now.

Well that's no good. Just buy a mystery song, it could be DK or it could be Joe Blow's Karaoke Shack, LOL. I think I will wait until you fix this problem. I don't buy karaoke song downloads without some sort of sample. I want to know what I am buying. Thanks, and please hurry with that update to the service. IMO, that should have been put in place even BEFORE you opened that service.

I agree, I won't use the service until the manus are listed at the very least.

I posted the following in another area but it seems that area is getting a little out of hand. I thought you guys might like to see it.

OK, let me tell you the work around for finding out the manu.

I have Netflix, for a small monthly fee, we can have a fun movie night with the kids!! It beats going out and renting movies and we can watch as many as we want.

That is where the Karaoke Cloud comes in. I am not plugging our product by anymeans I just want you to see the big picture!

As a mother and a KJ it is a great thing for us! All of my children LOVE to sing. For a fee of $9.99 per month we have the KC home streaming service. We pull it up on our phones and computer. My kids log in and sing for hours. Lots of entertainment for a cheap price. (Those of you with as many kids as I have would understand just how expensive it is to find something we all enjoy for cheap!!) That being said, as a KJ I use this to find new songs.

The manu debate could go on all day. If you have been in the business as long as I have you will know that you cannot stick to just one manu. Different brands for different songs. With having the home service I hear all of the different versions and then can decide which one suits me the best. Once I find the right one I purchase it.

I hope this has helped. Just trying to let everyone see it from my end.

so your saying we have to purchase a $10 subscription to the home service to be able to determin which version we want to download for our shows....

and to compare it to netflix? not even...

yet another reason not to want to deal with digitrax!

just a bad business practice to try to make us spend more money.....

for the professional kj host (hosting since 1996 for me), your company should be bending over backwards trying to bring us what we want. you did screw many loyal customers over last year, now trying to win us back isn't going so well...

i don't think displaying the manufacturer for the song is unreasonable, but if you can't then I won't be buying your product....

and any other questions i have asked in about other related items I am currently not interested in anymore. just because of your lack of support for your customers.

as you can see from the postings here you have a lot of hosts that are not interested just because they can't see the manufacturer or a preview.

digitrax take a hint! have a clue! it's not that hard....

I think she means for that to be a shot term solution. They are new and are trying to get things out the door as best they can. It sounds like they are hearing the feedback and are trying to adjust but it takes time.

If you had been reading ANY of my responses you would know that we are working on the manu columns. I was simply posting my opinion. I guess if that is not wanted here I will go elsewhere!

I have answered ALL questions to the best of my ability to do so and in a very timely manner! Ask MANY KJs here and they will tell you the same!!!

How did DigiTrax Karaoke "Screw you over last year" when we did not even open until July of this year?!!!

If anyone else would like to ask questions, most of you have my email. Please just use that since it is evident my presence is unwanted.

That is exactly what I meant MrBoo. Thank you.

I just can't understand all of the negativity on here. If you have a question please just ask!

No that is not necessary. Some people will never get things - so goes life.
