All this talk around and around--nothing happens--some local bars even decided that nothing will happen. Are you guys serious? Is something wrong with your business model? Are the Slep Bros broke and cant finish? Cant Cloud realize without enforcement nothing will work? I cant think of another business that allows their product to be stolen like this. Are you all heading for freeware after all this waste of time?

How nice would it be to buy SC on Tricerasoft??

You should give away your KJ services for free too! Why should bars have to pay you anyway? Entertainment should be free!

The whole legal process was in my opinion just a demonstration in order to get hosts to react and buy whatever product the manu was trying to sell at the moment. Just my views of course. Nice of you to qualify that you were only giving your opinions, because they certainly don't have anything to do with the facts. As I have said before many times, including as recently as yesterday, without enforcement--be it legal, technical, or practical--there is no way to sell a product that is as easy to copy and use as a karaoke accompaniment track on a profitable basis, especially when there is a marginal cost associated with the sale. It is true that my pace in filing new lawsuits has slowed. Unfortunately, I have had to spend most of the last six months cleaning up a mess not of SC's direct making. But new suits in two jurisdictions should become public today or tomorrow. We are also in the process of conducting investigations in three jurisdictions where suits have been previously filed and in four new places. After the first of the year, expect to see our bandwidth increase significantly. As for PR, 98% of that group's efforts to date have been focused on getting the Cloud platform up and running. But 2013 will see a huge new enforcement effort from Piracy Recovery, both in joint actions with SC and in other areas. The enforcement net is getting bigger, and it's not going away.

You better get with it James time is running out for the still viable manus, at the Cloud Summit implosion for the remaining manus was estimated to be sometime in 2013. According to Thunder we will be in WWIII by Christmas, I would imagine that will slow you down a little bit. In California they are closing courts due to budget shortfalls it will be years before any of your new suits will see the light of day, at least in this state. I have little to fear from SC since I don't use or promote their product. You can bet PR is focusing 98% of their attention on Cloud if it fails that is the end of game for them. As far a the orphan aka freeware status materials are concerned, you can currently do nothing about them, except wag you finger and shout. Until the manus can capture the supply and distribution of karaoke product they will not have the lock on the market they are trying to obtain. Before you start filing new suits aren't you going to appeal the suits in Florida where you got the oh so small settlements, and what about the 26 suits you had to drop in Las Vegas? I hope your investigators do a better job of identifying suspects and learning where they live before you start the suits, so a least you will know who and where to serve them the summons. If basic questions like these cannot be answered I wonder just how valid the rest of your information gathered really is? After all the goal is to use the legal process to promote sales of your product, in this respect you might be successful. Have a nice day. P.S. It can get as big as it wants, the only thing going away is me in about 2-3 years from this industry.

The more of these suits you lose, the closer SC comes to their final demise. The sooner SC goes into orphan status, the sooner they get picked up by someone like Tricersoft for sale as downloads, or they just go away.

If you want the peace and tranquility of our generation, then do it the way we do. Buy discs and use them as originally intended, and do not copy for any reason. The problem with karaoke started when people thought they had the entitlement to copy and buy copied music for next to nothing. We worked and bought our music at the true cost of the music. Hosts made good money and so did the manufacturers and dealers.

All others are on my computer because they aren't worried about shifted music. When the day comes that SC finally goes under, and I am convinced that day will come, there WILL be total peace.

Seeing as how you take no issue with wishing for the demise of a company that employs several people who rely on said company for their source of income then this should not offend you.... Bobby - I hope you get undercut, fired or in some fashion lose your entire source of income from Karaoke. Nothing personal, just an eye for an eye. Happy Holidays to you.... -Chris

Happy Holidays to you.... -Chris You know what, when you make money exploiting the legal system you deserve to lose everything. I find SC just as offensive as those people who "fall" in a store and sue them for damages. That is what SC and Harrington are doing. Going around looking to catch KJs doing bad things is, to my way of thinking, just as bad as people who go around looking for reasons to sue businesses and people in their neighborhoods. Now if they were going after the facilitators of file sharing and the hard drive sellers, then and ONLY then would I respect them. As long as they are bothering the "workers", A.K.A. the KJs they will never have my respect, and I will hope they go under. BTW, Chris, if I go under doing karaoke, I just start again, maybe just DJing. I don't have much to lose. I don't employ anyone, and I only have one rig. I would be careful were I you. You have quite the business built up there. YOU have much more to lose if you go under. Be careful what you wish for.
